Vanilla Sky

Wow... just saw this for the first time last night cos my girl picked it up cheap on DVD.

What a film. I'd always 'assumed' it was just about a love triangle between Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz. Didn't realise it was such a complete mind-fuck movie - half way through I had no idea what was going on, then just when I thought I had it figured they threw another twist in for good measure.

Highly recommended!

Thats actually from "Open Your Eyes" the spanish original of the film in which she played the same character as she does in the US remake. The spanish version is far superior to the US version, I suggest you check it out if you enjoyed the US one.

Vanilla Sky was a great movie. If you like Vanilla Sky, check out Mulholland Drive. That movie is twice the mindfuck as Vanilla Sky.

That movie was almost too weird for me. They get you thinking about quantum physics and the space time continum and shit, then of a sudden the movie ends in a twist of logicistic shit. I had to watch it 3 times before I understood it. I still don't understand it fully to this day. Like, why didn't Frank just leave him in the first place? And if he was taking placebos, why did he see all that crazy stuff? I can't believe the image of Frank that he saw or the path he takes is meant to happen to someone. It's just a strange movie.

I'd usually say something about spoilers but noone will get it if they are watching it for the first time anyways.

I thought this movie sucked.  it was nice seeing penelope cruz but other than that the movie sucked.  there was no point to it.
