Mary J & Eve's "Not Today". The beat is addictive and the ladies vocal's sound so perfected on that one. Mary's singing was excellent & Eve killed it on her verse. Mainly though, I dig it because of the beat.

I definitely agree. I was hooked on that shit in 03, soon as I heard Eve come in killin it.

"Family Affair"

That is one of my favorite Dre beats ever. Just imagine if it was a rap song.

i gotta say "Sexy Dance" for RC off the "Dr. Dre Presents... Aftermath" album! That beat is sick! definatly check out that track!
-PEACE-

I don't think Dre produced that track.  From what I remember, Dre only produced "Fame", "East Coast Killa/West Coast Killa", and "Been There Done That" off that album.

.....and some of the songs ya'll have been picking like "Blow Your Mind" aren't even R&B songs, they just have an R&B hook....... And as for "Family Affair" that track is waaaayyy too pop to be Dre's dopest R&B cut, "Fast Lane" has streat sensibility.

"Not Today" & "Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige
"Let the Madness Begin" by R.C. if he did that

Bilal - Fast Lane, but thats probably because Bilal actually has talent rather than most of the other RnB artists that Dre has produced for.

BTW, where does everyone get the idea that Dre produced No Diggity from?

My favorite is probably Bilal's fast lane remix with Dre and Jada rapping in it.

but his most successful is probably Family Affair

Family Affair is one of the best Beats Dre ever did.  Huge hit, great dance song, nice head bobbing beat, hard to beat that one.  Greatest R&B cut he ever did, imo.

I don't see how Family Affair is an R&B cut. It's basically the same beat as "X" with Mary J singing on it, basically Mary J singing on a hip hop track. That's what it sounds like to me. Honestly I've never heard a Dre cut that really sounded like R&B, like the cuts you hear from Timbaland or DJ Quik, but I'll have to check out that Eve and Mary cut, since yall givin it props.

its not an R&B cut strictly speaking, but i did like step on by (king t) a lot, thought that was exceptionally smooth.

"Family Affair"

That is one of my favorite Dre beats ever.

Not being funny, but that's just a weird statement to me.

Considering Dre's legacy... and the fact that that is (arguably) one of his weakest beats... that's just fucked up...

Seriously; you reckon that "family affair" is better than most of the Chronic and Chronic 2001? It's ok if that's so but jeez...

Actually, Step on By is pretty much an R&B cut. It is definitely more R&B than "Family Affair".

closely followed by family affair and not today
Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program
