Goldie Loc
« on: June 27, 2002, 05:15:58 AM »
It's nice to see Butch Cassidy getting his props finally, but I see too much people hating on Goldie Loc.
People saying "Yea, he is the wack one from Eastsidaz" or "Imagine Bad Azz instead of Goldie Loc in the Eastsidaz"

I think he's not far below Tray Deees level at all.
He had the best verse on "Duecez and Trayz", and he often rips guest-spots. Besides he's funnier than TrayC D.
Far as I can see, he got dope flow and funny gangsta-shit lyrics.

Tray Deee might be more gangsta and more OG, but as rappers I cant see the BIG difference.

When I first heard goldie on 20 minutes I was  pretty unimpressed and didn't think much about him, and that kind of caried over to the first eastsidaz album.  Then I started listening to him more closely and he is one dope ass rapper.  He is very underrated and I think he came way tighter than snoop did on dueces and treys.  All his latest shit is hella dope too.  Much props to goldie loc.  BTW his solo album is definately bangin.

probably for several reasons...

1) tray deee was around at the end of the death row 'golden era' - and has been 'day since day one'.. pretty much.

2) tray deee contributed to some classic songs like 21 jump street and Reality.

hell yeah that song is dope.  I love the beat, I think it is taken from Micheal Jackson's billy Jean, which is also a dope song.

I never understood why people called Goldie Loc wack. He got a nice flow. He's nothin' spectacular or anything, don't get me wrong, but I enjoy his shit nonetheless
