the synthesizers man! they got to put that shit again man in the early 90s that was sick bcoz of that

but i dont know bcoz on the other cyde i aint the guy who look in the past all the fucking time, times change

i think westcoast producers did not explore fully jazz music like the east coast cats did in the ninetees

Dre beats are awful i mean ok u listen it when it comes out & u appreciate ...but when u listen it 2 years after its sound outdated,no emotion's popin in ur heart ..its not growin old like a good wine unlike the early/mid 90s sound ...&THATS A FACT

electronic beats with a 'bounce' feel

west coast hip hop should be moving towards 2020, not 2006
Always talkin bout the cash he got, the little pesos for shows
And God knows his materialistic raps and wack flows
are like Stay Free pads, fake V.I.P. rappers get garbage disposed
Unrecouped for his flamboyance and reflection
He's leasin rentin and frontin

I'm just tired of those fucking played out Battlecat soundign tracks. They're so generic and boring with the exception of a few.

Yeah, if west coast hip hop went Quik's direction, then it would be so dope. The coast would have it's own sound again too.

The Funk, baby.
^I agree, like DJ Glaze, Battlecat, Warren G, Quik, & Daz type productions...Dre sounding beats wouldn't be bad but I'd like to hear more of tha other producers getting some of tha spotlight, like J Wells, Dr. Stank, Jim Gettum, EA-Ski, Meech Wells, Rick Rock, & Fredwreck...

lol, for one, u name the last time somebody sampled more bounce 2 the ounce.

for 2:  the songs that have sampled more bounce 2 the ounce, completely blow away ANY beat to be released in the last 5 years.  Not one beat will even come close.

I'd take an entire album where every song samples more bounce to the ounce, over an album with the hottest 15 beats of the last 5 years, any day.

I know what you mean, and also about if they had a sound like Quik
but I like Battlecat's tracks, I don't get tired of that sound, to me it says West Coast 8)
