yo I thought Glasses was Black Wall Street? if he ain't an artist of theirs, what's their relationship?
Wow...I didn't realize that his mixtape created - obviously - such a big buzz in the industry. It is a tight mixtape of course, and like Woodrow said, he's definitely become one of my most anticipated artists. There's just something about him which makes him stand out...don't know what it is. His flow is good, good lyrics, his voice is not annoying to listen to AND he reps the West Coast...what more do you need? I could be wrong, but I'm not sure whether Def Jam would be the right choice. They've proved in the past that they can't market/promote West Coast artists (Jayo Felony, Dove Shack, Warren G, etc...and more recently: W.C.). Perhaps now that Jay-Z is in charge of the label, things will be different, although if I was Glasses, I'd never sign to Def Jam right now since that's taking a pretty big risk. I'd go for a more stable record label...
Just as long as the labels are willing to put up money to promote him then its all to the goodBest of luck to him
