well it stated the purpose of the button.. and what it was for..
told us how/why the plane crashed.

stated that the 'island' is hard to find or some BS..

i assume locke, ecko died.. and maybe desmond... but who knows??

and now jack, kate, sawyer on the hands of the others..

and sayid found the 'phoney' others camp.. and what was behind the door was a scam..

i didnt say nothing happened, it just didnt answer very much. you know what may have caused the plane to crash, but the reason for the magnetic field is still a mystery

the island is some sort of bermuda triangle, how and why?

so the hatch lid that was on the ground outside teh hatch was blown high and far enough away to land in the beach camp.. but no one inside (locke/desmond/ecko) was hurt..

btw.. doesnt this leave the 'beach' party rather lacking in leading characters... though of course sayid+jinn etc will be back there soon

season 3 is mainly gonna be based at the 'others' camp.. that's been known for a while now .. hence why their 3 main characters have been captured

also, some of season 3 is gonna be based in their 'underwater hatch'

based on the fact that;

1. season 3 will have more "romance" in it
2. desmonds ex girlfriend/love of has spent alot of time looking for him; now she has found him
3. the actor who plays desmond is rumored to be contracted for a full season

i think they're not dead

the actor who plays michael isn't contracted for next season either, he will have a "guest appearance" contract, like walt had this season

Knowing movies, noone important dies without a big scene. When you don't see them die, they didn't die... and putting their death scene into the 3rd season would be a weird ass move.
