Damn this episode was crazy, don't really know what to think about it. Wasn't "Black Rock" a slaveship? Was Richard an slave on the ship? Like the homie Luna said:

everyone is back in 2007 now on the island
alt-timeline is 2004

i saw and (obviously) picked up on that, but thought they had just traveled through time to 2006 or sometime very shortly after the hatch was blown up. Didn't realize it was the same time. I expect a reunion soon!

And you mean to tell me this whole time their has been a temple of other people on the island and nobody (minus Jacob) ever encountered them? that seems kinda weak; unless Ben and the others were keeping it a secret; but even if that's the case, for Jack and everyone else to never encounter them seems unrealistic.

Back in season 3 Ben said to Richard to take the others to the temple, and hide there (because Widmores ship was on its way).
Cindy (the stewardess) and the two kids Zach and Emma were with them (as they were in last weeks episode)..

And about the guy with the glasses, I don't remember seeing him before. The actor is the brother from eastbound and down.

this is also the group of others we saw walking past Eko and Jin in season 2, the others that can move without leaving a trace etc. the producers said there was 2 groups of others on the island way back then, but we're only now just seeing them. basically when people were being kidnapped or whatever, the temple others are the ones that were doing it and then taking them to the group that were in the houses

I hope so. It's a shame they had to make the show 6 seasons and not 7/8 seasons like it they were supposed to. I'm sure Damon Lindelof and them could have come up with some shit for 8 seasons and they could have answered all of the mysteries, but that ain't gonna happen now though.

Damon and Carlton actually wanted the show to end after 5 seasons, but ABC made them shorten the seasons and stretch it out to 6..
They always say that if they had no end date in sight, they would probably still making a lot of filler episodes just to stretch out the story, witch would basically ruin the show.

So I'm happy that they have an end date, that they can work towards, but sad at the same time...

yeah the producers originally wanted it to be a mini series of 6 episodes, then decided on the 5 seasons

ABC originally wanted to do a 10 season show, but then after the popularity of season 1 cancelled the end date and never set a new one

when people started complaining about all the filler episode (ie; claire and the homing pigeon), the producers forced them to give an end date, which is what we have now
