If you also include groups: Deftones, Korn, Tool, System of a Down, Chili Peppers, there are tons of dope West Coast rock musicians.

yup jimi hendrix and nirvaa come to mind, i dont think jimi was actually from the NW though i think he just lived there when  he died.

Naw jimi was from Seattle originally

i dunno exactly were a lot of rock groups are from ,but def chili peppers, sublime, and Beach boys !!!

I didnt know a lot of these artists were from the West. Since Jimi Hendrix is from the West I think he definitely has a place higher than Saadiq. Santana is the man too. Hendrix and Santana is really the only rock music I listen to. Rick James is from the West? I was always under the impression that he was from ohio or somethin.
