I've played NBA Live '06 for PC a couple of hours ago, and it's ok. I'm waiting for NBA 2K6 for PS2 tho.

That superstar thing i really didnt notice it. But maybe i had to setup controllers better? I dont know, it aint different from 05 to me.

after playing both live 06 and nba 2k6... i've gotta go with 2k6 by a wide margin.  the only thing that makes live even half way decent is the allstar weekend.  the controls feel hella sloppy in the game and there's no way to stay in front of the person you're defending.  you can just drive by anybody in the game with anybody without even using the freestyle controls.  overall, it's decent (and that's being generous) but it doesn't do a good job of simulating the nba.

2k6 on the other hand... the pace of the game really feels like the nba.  instead of having the freestyle controls like last year, they make them feel a lot more natural.  with the tap of the turbo button, your baller will do a little hop and from there you can pull a cross over, drop step, continue moving in the same direction, drop a dime... it seems like the options are unlimited.  i also like the options on the xbox version.  anybody who has played nfl 2k5 will remember how you could use custom soundtracks during the game.

i actually liked live 05 last year but it seems like the watered the game down a lot and it feels more like an arcade game than a simulation.  if i want that then i'll just pop in nba street but for now i'm going with 2k6.
