in my opinion you guys are overrating ice cube a little bit. he is a good actor with a shit load of charisma, but if you notice even though hes in all types movies, hes mostly give or take the same character. hes the likeable, hard, not quite thug but almost, with a dry sense of humor.

will smith is one of the better actors in hollywood, dude steals scenes like its his job and he can go from funny to serious at the stop of a dime. if you ever watched fresh prince when they would get serious, he gets emotional better then just about anyone in the biz.

Mos Def in Monsters Ball was the best rapper role, but the best rapper in a movie is definetly Ice Cube.

Ice cube in boyz in the hood comes before them but they were great in them movies. Also Mc ehit made me laugh as A-wax in menace 2 society, wouldnt say hes one of the best tho.

I'll go with Mos Def and Cube. Cube's movies have gone both ways though - there's the ones where's he's good (Boyz n tha Hood, Friday, Three Kings, Barbershop) and then there's the ones where he (and everything else) sucks (Anaconda, Ghosts of Mars).

I've only seen one of Pac's movies, he was real good in it. Can't remember the flicks name though...
