Look you keep putting albums on your site, thats ok and great. BUT The full length Songs need to stop unless you have permission. PLEASE STOP DOING THIS. I see you have the Luni Coleone on there and can sample the WHOLE SONG i thought we talked about this already. Please only put 30 second files and not the whole track. PLEASE STOP unless the label or artist give you permission. Thats the key word here. Man the industry needs all the help it can get right now and putting the whole song up is not helping anyone out but YOU. So ill ask one more time please only put 30 second samples. And Woodie says you can use his albums but only 30 second snipets thats it, never put the whole track up.

AN OPEN LETTER TO MY SUPPORTERS :

I don’t have any animosity towards RapBay but this situation as is could of been handled better to prevent an uprise against RapBay and/or its owner. This site IS and will ALWAYS be a product of the bay area; which is fueled by the artists & motivated by the fans. Both RapBay & N-Ridaz promote bay artists in different ways but our goal is ultimately the same. Everyone has a different opinion on how promoting could be handled but N-Ridaz is out there for everyone & anyone who chooses to utilize it. I do not operate my site for profit, strictly out of love for bay area music. This site has started because of that & has continued with the gaining support of artists & fans throughout Northern California and beyond. This is an endless debate that can last forever but for a person in the industry to change how I operate my site was not put as a request but strictly as a demand. I do not have a problem with any artists and/or label who want their music promoted in a certain way but it’s not a debate on who has more support for the bay & who has less. My site was not created for profit but to simply create a music booth for people/fans/artists/producers to sample the music from our area. If I have burned any bridges while doing so, I will gladly bow out of this business in this industry that has given a lot to me…."and this would be a done deal" - SadClown

Whats rapbay's problem with people bein able to hear the music first? You cant download off northern ridaz and the quality aint even that good on there. Are they afraid they wont sell as much bullshit records that suck because people will find out they suck before they actually pay for em? Sounds like he needs to be writing a letter to the northern cali artists that come with a half ass product, to put out a better product instead of fuckin with northern ridaz. All northern ridaz really is is basically a listening station like you would find at a sam goody or somethin like that.

1st of all SadClown is the homie and he doin his part out here in the yay on our uprise, everyone respects that, trust me. But I don't have any idea why this is blown so outta proportion. If an artist says I only want 30 second clips, then so be it.

By the way, this cat Ryan ain't trippin about "the industry". He mad cuzz he makin money off a bullshit Luni Coleone album which barely has Luni on it, so people heard it on northern-ridaz and started talkin about how lame that album is. Shit got exposed I guess. But regardless, if an artist says don't put the whole song, SadClown needs to respect that. He has done it before, I don't exactly know why there is a problem this time. Maybe it's the way this cat Ryan is approaching him.

No doubt if the artist says don't do it, then don't. This cat from RapBay just approached it wrong. He's really just mad that people get to hear albums before they buy em. But, if that's the case, then get mad at Tower Records or other Retail stores. They allow you to preview a string of albums at their listening stations. If you're putting out quality, you shouldn't have a problem with people checking out your album before they buy it.

By the way, that Sly kid is a weenie. "Doggz! Cmon Doggz!" LOL @ Him not wanting to give up his name to the guy.

Even before the net, I remember being able to listen to albums before I cop em. Wherehouse used to let you take the CD to the listening station and you could listen to the whole thing. It's not new... I just think homie from RapBay knows that there is some wack shit there and people won't buy it, now that they can listen to it prior.

The only artists that trip about their album being on northern-ridaz is the ones that put out half-ass albums. But regardless, artists have rights to their hustle, especially on the indy tip. SadClown does respect that for the most part. RapBay is known for shady shit, bootlegging, all kinda non-sense, but all that does not matter when it comes to this. They're fighting for Artist rights in general the way I look at it. SadClown just needs to have a more direct approach with cats, that's all.
