Jim Tracy Fired
« on: October 03, 2005, 07:05:03 PM »
Sweet Deal

The Dodgers plan to announce that they and manager Jim Tracy mutually agreed to part company, ending Tracy's five-year tenure in charge.

Tracy, 49, had just completed the first season of a two-year contract, but he had a clause that would allow him to void the upcoming year. Last month he requested an extension.

After guiding the Dodgers to four consecutive winning seasons and a division title in 2004, Tracy saw his roster decimated by injuries in 2005 and slip to fourth place and a 71-91 record, the worst for a Dodger club since 1992.

lol...right choosing Phillips over Choi and anybody over Perez at 3rd was a complete disgrace.  Thhose moves alone right there cost the team about 40-60 runs

it's funny how your reply was after my rant of Tracy...hmm i wonder who that was directed to?  I see no other reason of putting it like that other than the fact that i was complaing about two moves tracy has done in the season

Do not blame Depo
 Valentin over Beltre (even with sorry numbers)
           Lowe for $36 mil
Drew aka Darren Dreifort (whom everybody but Depo's dumbass figured to get hurt.... paying the most injury prone the most money  ::))
           Kelly Wunsch
Hee-Seop Choi as everyday first basemen? (yeah that worked..... talk about bein on someones nutz, as in an excuse to use a minimum payed player as a starter)

Stay On Topic :D Come on it's Depodesta's fault. CHoi as the 1st basemen  He could of gotten Delgado as a free agent. Not resigning Beltre but putting Valentin at 3rd. Signing the injury plagued Drew to more than Beltre was asking for. Not trading for Adam Dunn or anyone else on the trading block.

Thanks for bringing up Lowe, possibly one of the best FA signings of pitchers this past offseason
3.61 ERA

Jeff Kent?

ANd if we look at the 1B production from Choi and Saenz it turns out it was 6th best in the NL and better than Shawn Green of last year

Hey what happen to the stats of these dodgers who Depo let go...

FInley
Cora
Beltre
Lima
Ishii
Green

Oh yeah....Navarro and Martin have a much better future than Lo Duca.  In fact Navarro ended up the season with better numbers than  Lo Duca!  What?!  Another plus?

It was the first time Drew has played in under 100 games in his career.   100 Games of Drew IS better than 150+ games of Beltre

ANd the 3B situation should have been cured with Antonio Perez

^^ damn ur reachin......... it's injuries and Depo's......... not injuries and Tracy......... Tracy did a better job coaching than that little weenie did tryin not to sweat it out in the press box of how badly he fucked this franchise over.......... regardless of some of the good moves he made, he made more mistakes than good moves

Yeah I just gave stats...im "reaching"  I basically saw the whole season and Tracy did not do a good job.  How in the hell do you choose Phillips over Choi and Edwards over Perez for a shitload of games
