i think it woulda been a bigger deal if he missed a  touchdown pass, it was a 1st down pass, whos's to say he woulda gotten to the endzone if they converted the first down ya know what im sayin and had to of kicked the field goal anyway? either way due to both plays  Notre Dame did FUCK UP big time.
