Nazr Mohammed, Jamaal Magloire, Kaman, Josh Childress, Josh Smith? wtf is this shit


Those are/will be some solid players, but the author needs to make it clear what he thinks a superstar is. Magloire has peaked, Nazr has VERY limited potential and anyone looks good next to TD (see Rasho), Kaman is a nice player but will never lead a team, and both Josh's are highlight reels, and one has good shot blocking abilitiy, neither will lead a team or average over 22ppg (smith might just)...

You're right about Jamaal Magloire and Josh Childress. Nazr Mohammed is still young though and I can actually see him as one of the top centers in the leadue in the near future. Chris Kaman, as well, can be a key factor in the rise of the Clippers. Josh Smith might not be the greatest player ever, but his explosivness and high scoring ability might one day lead him to superstardom. Remember, the NBA revolves around showboats.

Odom is a huge underachiever anyways. Comin into the pro's he had a ton of potential...but he's never really lived up to it. Maybe havin Pippen there to help out will work...who knows. But i wouldnt count on it till i see it.

he has the size and skills to create mismatches but i dont see him utilizing his size enough

I really hope with Phill and Scottie teaching Odom that he will become a better player but i doubt it.My saying is if your a soft player from the begining you will always be soft and become a follower instead of a leader.

Actually, you never even said Pippen might help, you just completely disregarded any skill Odom posesses and basically belittled him. A Laker fan like me is optimistic about the triangle plan with Odom handeling the ball and Kobe playing on the wing. ToNe is a Spurs fan, and he still has a more optimistic opinion about Lamar Odom than you do...LOL

Sorry NIB but I still stand by my statement, Josh Smith, Chris Kaman and Nazr are not going to be NBA Superstars. Kaman will be a good role player AT BEST, lets see if he can stay healthy. I've watched every Nazr game since he came to the Knicks (obviously not all his games since he was a Spur) and he is simply not that good. Lacks leadership skills, and lacks motivation. Plays a good quarter and then dissapears. Strong offensive rebounder, but pathetic on the other end, and has 1 post move. Cant knock down a mid range jumpshot and is not a good passer. He is not that young anymore (28 turning 29), and you cant expect more than he has done thus far in his career. 'Top centre' in the league? No. That will be Yao, Amare (depending on how u classify him), Curry, Chandler/Dalambert in a stretch (forgive me if I forgot someone)... he is efficient around the bucket, but has bad hands and lacks strenght...

I seriously cant believe someone had him in a list for future stars...

I've said he doesnt know how to use mismatches. I've said he doesnt play with passion, like for example Jumaine Jones. I've said he's not a great defender. I never said he sucks. About Pippen and the triangle, for sure they are the best thing to happens in his life to Odom. Even a fool can improve in a great system like triangle and working with the best point forward ever. Just like Bynum can improve working with Jabbar, or Kobe working with James Worthy. I've always judged Odom from his previous season, not from his next one, lol.
