o hell no dont u buy that shit man take my advice if u can see rust on the outside or where only the can see imagine  how much rust there is that u cant see. and rust is probably the #1 thing that u dont want on ur car cuz if u have rust on ur frame believe u me that shit will break and u wont have a car anymore or even rust on the exhuast will cause holes which will make ur car sound like its fartin down the street. and last but not least that shit isnt pretty. looks like a scab. im guessin u live in a city where its snows and salt is on the grown most of the time? or atleast the thats a type of place that car is from. the best places to buy cars is either texas, california, or nevada

I wouldn't buy it if you could help it.  You obviously don't know much about body repair, so if there's any rust at all it'd be bad news for someone like you (no slam, just being realistic here).  My brothers and I do body repair all the time on our own cars, so to us it doesn't really matter if the whole fucking car is rusted out or not, usually it can be fixed with time and a little effort... it really isn't even that expensive if you do the work yourself.  It's extremely expensive if you have to have someone else do it, though, because of all the labor.  There's two ways of fixing it, you can grind all the old rust out and just fill the holes in with bondo, or you can do it the right way and grind all the rust out, and replace the missing steel with new steel.  I've seen guys that are so good at it, that they can put a patch panel in like that, and use no body filler at all, just a file and have the thing ready for primer, block sanding, and paint with no filler.  That's incredible to me.

well the only rust visible was on the door, so i would assume i can just take the door off and sand it down and replace the metal, i just dont want it to spread

the only thing is this car passed aircare and is in good running shape and only 1000 and i can probally get him down to 800

we get maybe a week of snow a year in Vancouver (if that).

that is pretty nuts.  I'd just load the filler in there, lol.

and since we're on the subject of body work, I'd just like to point out that I did the Limo in I Robot.  :-* (it's in the tunnel scene for like 3 seconds, and they spent about $30,000.00 on it lol)

You could just get another door at the junk yard. Anything is better than letting the rust spread.

Like the guys above said though, just becuase you see rust on the door doesn't mean that's where all the rust is.  Doesn't it make sense that if the door rusted, some other things probably did too?  Rust can eat away at your car so bad the metal is gone, but the paint is still there.  The only way you'll know for sure is to get close to it, and look everywhere for rust.  Particularly down close by the road, and near the bottoms of the windows.  You've got to get under the car, check out the frame... if it's brown, that's fine, they all will be... but if there's holes and fucked up metal everywhere, I'd pass.  Also look for bubbles in the paint... look at the back of the front fenders behind the wheel, look at the fender flare above the wheels, look at the quarter panels around the rear wheels.  If one door is rusted, the other one probably is too.  Press your finger into the bottom of the door skin, see if it's nice and solid or if anything moves or makes noise.  If the car is rusted it'll likely have paint bubbled up around these areas.

It's not very likely that the door rusted, then nothing else did.  That doesn't make any sense, unless the door was involved in an accident or had the paint scraped off or something.

yea once metal starts to rust there no getting rid of it, even if you grind it away, prime it and paint over it again it will always come back.....

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

^ That's not true at all.  If it's done properly, you can stop the problem.  You can't just spraypaint it though, or sand it, you need to replace it.

if you live near the ocean its going to spread a hell of a lot quicker than normal... but if i were you if you can't find a exact door in a junk yard or anywhere else i absolutely wouldn't get the car
