Is it just me...?

The last few videogames I've gotten haven't really lived up to my expectations.  Take Soul Calibur 3 for example... Everybody loved the 2nd one including myself and with the addition of the create a fighter it seemed like it couldn't do any wrong... then the game drops and it just didn't hold my attention for too long.  Ultimate Spider-Man was a big flop especially after how much I enjoyed Spider-Man 2.  So I'm wondering... am I just growing out of videogames or are games starting to suck these days?

i dont know man, i get what your saying, but i'd rather take todays games over any other time in history based on technology alone. and halo 1& 2 multiplayer i can play for days

I don't know if you'll like it, man.  It feels like they stripped all of the characters of their individual style.  Everybody basically has the same move set plus 2 or 3 special moves.

True... there are some gems along the way like Halo 2 and GTA:SA but they just seem so few and far in between.  I'm debating if I'll even get the XBox360 because the only game that stands out to me on there is Perfect Dark Zero.  All of the other games just seem like "been there done that."
