Here's how I see it...when you are readin reviews on places like this, you have to read the reasons for why they think an album is good or bad. You can tell from how they talk about an album whether or not you could take it serious.

With this album, I always said that it was a good album, not classic but definitely not garbage. He stepped up his raps A LOT compared to the 213 album, and he showed that he can still do laid back west coast beats as well as more commercial soundin beats. But some people on here are quick to label certain songs as "pop" because of the style of song or featured guests.

Be real selective when reading reviews.
Often times you are dealing with people who have no life in real life, and got a great dose of low self esteem and take time to blast on other people.  I think they need to take their fat stubby fingers from the key boards, and lean way back.

Basically so far Warren's album came solid, just like Daz' and DJ Quik.  The only one TO ME is basic is that Mack 10.  But I advise all fans to test the waters on their own.

I am glad you posted this topic, because these reviews aint about shit.

the production on warren's album was on no higher or lower level than the 213...

people moaned and moaned about him not producing on 213..
_then_ he goes and puts out this 213 sound-a-like album..

a lot of people were disappointed and said 213 sucked because warren didnt produce.. and when he doesnt finally put out his next shit.. its a rerun of the 213 album minus more snoop+nate... go figure... it was a major disappointment

this smooooth rap shit doesnt wash anymore..

But if he came hard you would've said that he trying the same shit as regulate and came too hard.  I think you motherfuckers just will never be satisfied. Thus you need to be employed as a critic, not a music lover, but a fucking critic. Point should be noted not debated. 1

who the hell do you think you are coming to my house talking to me like that?

fans are critical.. fans who follow blindly like sheep are useless mindless zombies.. be a leader not a follower! everybody got their right to a opinion.. the whole 'point' of a forum (look it up!) is for discussion! _every_ opinion good or bad is valid.. because regular users here.. not those who dickride daz know which other forum members they have similar tastes too.. we aint all cut from the same cloth.. respect other peoples opinions and views and maybe they'll respect yours.

I just bumped Warren's new album again on my mp3 player today and it really is a below avergae album from Warren G and thats being nice. Now i finally understand why Warren didnt produced on the 213 album becuase 213 productions>>>In The Midnight Hour production.I also did not like Mack 10 album adn especially DPG.Now Dj Quik is a different story. The album is very nice, some amazing production, the only thing that bothers me is short replay value.

In my opinion Warren G,DPG and Mack 10 should all retire.I have a feeling their motivation is very low and they are making these albums just becuase of the fans...

A lot of these OGs need to retire. People arn't checking there music anymore, and have been fading for a while. Honestly a lot of these guyz while not as popular, still make good music. But they gotta know when to just bow out as one of the elite.

Because I said so.
jk

Personally I just feel like, u said, there just paying bills. Money is becoming more of a motive then say, making a great album. Plus when you think of all these cats in the future, you're gonna seldomly talk about there late stuff they put out when they were 35.
Then again that's just my opinion.
plus if people continue to listen to these old cats, will the next generation ever get its spotlight? (that's not a rethorical question).
