i found a Gangsta Rap by dogg pound and crooked i
thats not the version on 2002..
daz's verse kinda resmebles the one in Change the game  remix..
it sounds  alot better too...
kurupt crooked and daz all have verses...
is this a original version or what?

bumping this old thread because I couldn't find much else on this version. I've seen it labeled as the "clean" version, but the radio version on the promos are just reverse edited versions of the Dogg Pound 2002 retail version.

I believe the third verse in this fanmade solo edit comes from the version being discussed above:



Verses are as follows:
1 - Verse from the OG version (taken from FTP's SHTTBG bootleg)
2 - Verse from retail version of 2002
3 - Verse discussed in this thread

I believe that one was on one of the Fred Wreck Greatest Hits compilations.

Untouchable Intro and Untouchable Cali were both posted to Darren Vegas’s SoundCloud. Jim Gittum also produced on the intro. I don’t have credits typed up but what other credits were you wondering about? Probably know about of them.

My educated guess is the order the various versions were created goes like this:

1. Kurupt solo version from Fredwreck GH - this is the real OG since he was the person always working with Fredwreck

2. Say Hi To The Bad Guy FTP bootleg version (Fredwreck beat with Crooked I Too Gangsta For Radio retail verse) - Kurupt let Daz take it to Death Row and he and Crooked I got on it. It appears from Daz’s adlibs on the outro this version was originally going to be on Too Gangsta For Radio. This may have actually been one of the last things Daz worked on at Death Row before leaving for the 2nd time.

3. Too Gangsta For Radio retail version - When Daz left Death Row they decided to totally redo the song besides Kurupt’s hook and Crooked I’s verse from the previously mentioned version. They replaced Daz and Kurupt verses with Treach and Scarface verses on a new beat.

4. Dogg Pound 2002 retail version - For Dogg Pound 2002 they revisited version number 2 and had Crooked I do a new verse for whatever reason. This was the first time any version with the Fredwreck beat was released.

5. Dogg Pound 2002 clean version (source unknown) - Version discussed from this thread with new clean verse from Crooked I that didn’t make it on promos for some reason. Also may have been intended for a music video that never transpired.

it does make sense that the Kurupt version is the OG for the reasons you stated

there are no bad versions of this track just different ones
