I agree with the people who state Snoop as being the biggest representative of the west.....nowadays especially...he's probably the first rapper that comes to mind when the west is mentioned, apart from 'Pac ofcourse, who represented the west to the fullest when alive (the way he did represent turned many heads towards the west). Xzibit is a big part of the west though, he represents to the fullest & he's one of the best lyracists to ever come out of the west.

The thing is though, is not who is the best lyrist, then not even Xzibit out the west, as Rass Kass is better than the X man, it's biggest name. And no name is bigger than Snoop. Just like in the East, it's Jay-Z or Nas. Name value is the offical representative of your coast, and nationwide regionization.

I agree. When peeps think of tha west coast nowdays (since Pac is gone) they think of Snoop!!! He is tha westcoast!!! X to tha Z is got tha talent to take the west ova but right now it belongs to Snoop.

South: Outkast(Just most popular right now)
East: KRS-One(One of the G.O.A.T.s)

West Future: Ras Kass/Crooked I(People are embracing lyrics)
MidWest Future: Twista/TechN9ne(Real Midwest...not nelly)
South Future: Swisha House(Runnin the south right now)
East Future: Cam'Ron(gonna explode)

But of all time
West: Pac(Held the West down til the casket dropped)
MidWest: Bone(One of the first to rep nationally)
South: DJ Screw(Opened the most doors for the south)
East: Russell Simmons(Will always run the East)

People say Xzibit are jumping the gun. X is without a doubt next in line. But first he needs a good mainstream follow up to Restless, and fine a way to win L.A. fans over Snoop. Even if X and Snoop are cool, his still competing with Snoop for fans. But all that a side, I thinks his just chillin' not even consired with that yet. Snoop right now is the westcoast rep. Right now the reps, or as they like to say Kings are...

West: Snoop (Xzibit is waiting in line, but it's going to take another Snoop going to No Limit for Snoop to lose his fans the way he did in 1997. Xzibit seems to allow Snoop to be on top. Watch out for other lyrical heaters, like Rass Kass and Crooked I.)

Yeah, this is an old thread. I'm surprised I didn't rush to the Xzibit bandwagon as fast on the board. In real life at the time, Xzibit dominated my college radio show... LOL... I thought he would grab that spot, but it just never was.
