The Nuggets and Raptors said they're looking at Shawn Kemp, who is said to have lost 55 pounds and wants to make a comeback ....What I don't understand is why the Nuggets and Raptors are looking at him when they have Kenyon Martin and Chris Bosh...It's time for Mitch Kupchak to wake his ass up and for the Lakers to seriously consider adding him to thicken their lacking front-court. I mean, they had Corie Blount signed (who's the same age as Kemp) , but they can't consider the Reign Man? Of course, I'm not considering the heavy speculation that Boozer is coming to the Lakers (there was an article in the times about how he bought an LA mansion recently.), but if Boozer isn't coming, I see no reason why the Lakers don't give Kemp a chance...

I cant wait to get a Kemp Raptors jersey......thad be the shit!!!!

The Raptors could use just about anyone right now.  They are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league so adding Kemp would =size and mroe boards in the frontcourt.  Id much rather see Bosh in the frontcourt along side Kemp instead of Arujo or Matt Bonner.

so maybe you should consider it a good thing they arent after Kemp more. Boozer would be a far more solid option then Kemp. Besides, i thought your whole argument is that the Lakers are gearing up for the future....Kemp is not "the future", he's the past lol

Why does everybody ignore that he still has a contract with the Sonics cause he retired at 19? If I was the Sonics I wouldnt let him go, cause Sonics suck and need him.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

Yes, the Lakers have the future on lock...But for the time being, they don't want to lose. If Boozer doesn't go through, Kemp would be my first option to give a 10 day contract. If the Lakers like what they see, great, sign him... if they don't, what do they lose? Other options for front-court help would be Elden Campbell, Corie Blount, or Dennis Rodman. I'd give any of those players a 10 day contract. All are willing to make a sacrafice to continue their stay in the NBA, and all have been succesful at what they do in the past (with the possible exception of Corie Blount, but he's an experienced defensive-minded big with past triangle knowledge)...I still believe the Lakers can do SOMETHING in the near future...PeACe

Didn't I mention Kemp as an option in the summer before the season started? Hasn't Kwame been injured for the last week+? Why are you still hating? LOL.

LOL...Whats your point? That in 15 games, Brian Cook has provided better offense than Kwame in 8, but still hasn't been rebounding nor defending as well as the bust himself, Kwame? Cook is improving. Kwame is flopping and he's still providing more...Imagine what'll happen when Kwame REALLY starts playing.

the key for the stats is the MPG Nik,.........Cook is putting up the same numbers in only half the minutes as Kwame....Give Cook 28 MPG and you can X2 to his stats pretty much.  Sorry, I didnt mean to rain on your parade, but I had to point that out.

Cook > Kwame as of now. Easily. Embarrassing.
