Why wasn't the original version of California Love on All Eyes on Me?

I heard the full length OG once, on Tim Westwood's show about a month before the album was released. Still got it taped somewhere - it's easily the dopest version.

The accapella talkbox bit at the end was different - Roger was harmonsing with his own adlibs underneath by kinda humming this new bassline... can't really explain it but it was crazy... Ever since I've wondered how to ever get that version. I've got the 12" promo from before AEOM came out and it wasn't on there...

is there any difference between the original and remix lyrically?
cause ppl were tellin me bout it and i found a version that had a different instrumental but same lyricz

Man I'm an idiot. All the time they played the video for california love I never noticed the difference between the beat for the video and the remix.

BTW, I lke both the original and remix, but the original alot more. Good question. Why they didn't place the original on the album?

I like the remix a lot better.......but I could have sworn that the remix video came out before the OG vid.....cause it was like they were throwing a party for Pac being out on bail.  I don't remember seeing or hearing the OG version till months later.
