Wouldnt the introduction to King Kong be much better if he wasnt shown in the trailers or TV spots?  It was built up nicely.  PReviews really are killing movies these days..

Maybe. The trailer practically told the story. The new generation of people who don't know the story figured it out. I hate trailers. Teasers are way better, they rarely give anything away.

yeah they also release the games b4 the movies as well and that totally ruins the film, for example they released star wars episode 3 b4 the movie and although it didnt spoil it all u still played how everythin happened so u knew wat was comin when i saw it at the cinema

Who didn't already know the story? There were two movies about already, and countless of references to the story on cartoons and TV shows over the past several decades. It'd be like doing a new movie about Peter and the Wolf. Everyone already knows what happens.

KING,godzilla,james bond are all characters,and stories you can recreat  over and over again.you know,classic shit...................people never get tired of hearing about them three.they got about aleast 12 to 14 movies apeice.

sounds like a million dollar movie to me. now we get vin diesel to play peter and do a beautifull russian accent, while speaking english, but in russia, and the wolf, well gotta get angelina jolie to play the sexy wolf.
