Good movies about gangs?

I am searching for movies that are about gangs/gangbangin'. Do you have any recommendations? Thx in advance.

they werent really claimin no specific sets in boyz in the hood so i wouldnt think that was a movie about gang life except for them dudes shootin up rickey wearin red...

menace ii society is not a movie about gangs... in an interview the hughes brothers said they specifically left out gang references to make the movie more universal, but u got Wax (mc eiht from tragniew park) and all his homies wearin blue

try movies like "colors" and "training day" which was filmed in an actual blood neighborhood (black p-stone jungle)

also check out some of those f.e.d. magazine documentary dvds or some of those dvds they sell on www.streetgangs.com



if u wanna read a really good book on gang life id say pick up "Monster" by Monster Kody Scott... that book is probably better than all the films i listed...

True... It's not like these guys claim sets or anything tho. I'm wondering if there even excist movies about gangbanging?
