mc eiht and compton's most wanted questions
« on: January 08, 2006, 08:11:45 AM »
i been checkin them since thier first album up to we come strapped and lost interest after that but recently been listenin to the old albums i had.  So keep in mind these questions are based upon listenin up to we come strapped.

On it's a compton thang, Chill MC rapped with Eiht and then after that he didn't rap with him anymore except for Growin' Up In The Hood (if he was in niggaz on the run, how come they weren't featured at least?)

The thing about CMW is that they had great production, especially on Music To Driveby and We Come Strapped, after that it fell off to the cheezy keyboard beats.  Did they change the production team or did the producers just stop doin what they were doin?  What are the original eihthype producers up to now? (i think it was dj slip and unknown)

I would love the instrumental album for Music To Driveby

I remeber there was a source mag that had eiht, spice 1, and scarface hangin together in the photo shoot.  How come they didn't collab much? (eiht and Face)

I been wonderin some of the same questions, but never got any Streiht answears, Why Chill stopped rappin on the 2nd CD is cause he as far as i know went to jail, after that he focused on his own group NOTR, but their albums was never released, so we ended up in not hearin him at all.

with the production, i think the rapgame made Slip move on, when ur record becomes to popular u will get sued if u sample too much,.. Or maybe he just ran out of samples... u cant deny the fact that some beats sounds pretty simular, maybe he just wanted to change his style up..

i dont think Slip ever turned back to his old style... or have he Overseer? or Crafty?  ???

PS... does anyone know if UGK did a remake or remix of streiht up menace??  ???

slip hardly did any production on the later albums

i think it stopped with 'Last Man Standing'

i think it must be said that Willie Z was also a contributing factor to those earlier MC Eiht/CMW albums being classics. He came with some tight ass keyboard/synthesizer licks..............especially on We Come Strapped
Always talkin bout the cash he got, the little pesos for shows
And God knows his materialistic raps and wack flows
are like Stay Free pads, fake V.I.P. rappers get garbage disposed
Unrecouped for his flamboyance and reflection
He's leasin rentin and frontin
