King Tee?
« on: January 11, 2006, 02:36:23 AM »
I just wanted to know when King Tee got dropped from Aftermath and all the songs he released when he was under Aftermath Entertaiment. Here's some i know...

Thy Kingdom Come (The Whole Album)
Got It Locked
That's Drama
Straight Outta Compton
Str8 Gone

Does anybody know any other tracks?
"Hip Hop was better off when it was just Dre, Scarface, and Esco"

these two are on the original tracklist for Thy Kingdom Come.. the 'greedy green' release added more..

Got It Locked
That's Drama

so really.. the only other song is Str8 Gone..

i'm pretty sure the straight outta compton was after aftermath

Naaw it was released when Tee was still on Aftermath, i got "Straight Outta Compton - 10th Anniversary Tribute" and the credits say "King T appears courtesy of Aftermath Entertaiment" (and the year was 1998)
"Hip Hop was better off when it was just Dre, Scarface, and Esco"

Yeah, on Xzibit's "Let It Rain" & "Don't Let The Money Make You" (it was an bonus track on "40 Dayz & 40 Nightz")
"Hip Hop was better off when it was just Dre, Scarface, and Esco"

well his album got pulled directly on the eve of release... it only got a "decent" (not amazing) review in the source and dre freaked.. as his label was new and the aftermath comp hadn't fared well either he needed to drop a hit to keep his track record up.. his next artist was eminem..

a slighty different version of thy kingdom come was put out several years by a company called greedy green.. the initial run had a turkey on the cover, later runs had a moon (i think)..

the differences with this version are that there are some 'leftover' tracks included.. BUT that the song Got It Locked that was meant to be on the album isnt on there. this may be because got it locked was the lead single for the aftermath version and had a video etc..

king tee also put quite a few tracks from thy kingdom come on "ruthless chronicles" which came out not very long ago.. (like 3/4 months or so)

oh and one random thing.. i'm listening to the album now.. and "KILLA BEN" on "REEL RAW"  +IS+ sharief from the aftermath compilation..
