I think some people had it in for Game before he even came out. There was always someone trying to pull him down and instead of being like others and just ignoring it (Kendrick for example didn't bite at Shyne's attempt to get attention) Game has got into it from big names (50) to small no names, has beens and never weres (40 glocc).

People always like to view it as Game was being disrespectful to 50 Cent. All Game did was want to shine and not get involved in 50's stupid beefs with Fat Joe, Nas and Jadakiss. Theres numerous stories on how 50 wanted to portray Game as below him. The How We Do video was supposed to be 50 on one side of the street repping the east coast, game on the other side reppin the west. 50 didnt want game being portrayed as on his level at all.  He then went and kicked Game out and despite the cease talk, him and G Unit went out in magazines almost immediately discrediting and incorrectly stating that Games album was written by 50. Sure 50 appeared on the first 3 singles and helped get Game his shine, no doubt he deserves credit for that, but they were trying to make it sound like Game did nothing toward that albums success.

Game retaliated which is fine, but his problem is he kept retaliating till it was a laughing joke and he lost his spot at Aftermath. For a while all you'd hear from game is another G Unit diss. it stopped being cool and funny after 300 bars.

But lets face it if 50 is really that powerful, why did his other projects like the Mobb Deep album, LLoyd Banks 2nd album, Young Bucks 2nd album, Tony Yayo and GRODT soundtrack failures. Why aren't these artists still making at least some noise. For whatever reason, be it voice, charisma, personality, skill, production, promotion......Game is the only one still able to release albums that are successful. I'm also willing to bet he makes more $ touring than any of them.

Another Aftermath project Obie Trice was given heaps of features and production, and yet outside of that album he hasn't done shit.

Game has. I'm the first to admit Game has his faults. He changes his mind too much, name drops too much and tends to go off subject in his songs (50 Cent is a better song writer than Game for sure). But i think its time to stop hating. I wasn't too pumped for Jesus Piece, but its got some very good tracks for the most parts. Even Dr. Dre gave Game props for it. R.E.D. was a good album that kind of lacked in the middle. L.A.X. was a bit all over the place. Doctors Advocate and Documentary are classics. And then you look at his mixtapes and some of the songs he left off those albums and Games had a hell of a career.

Sure he never got to the Snoop/Em/50 Cent level, but not everybody does

Documentary is overrated. Had some classics but it had 50 Cent's work all over it.

I always felt Doctor's Advocate was the more complete album top to bottom and a true glimpse at who Game is as an emcee. For people saying his lyrics are subpar, I simply disagree. He has moments where he sounds like he can rap toe to toe with anyone, but then will come with uninspired lyrics time and time again (but if you delve deep, most rappers do).

Game is a true fan of hip hop, he spoke on it recently with DJ Skee stating that his career can end at any moment, and he's a rap fan before anything. Therefore, he wants to have the opportunity to do records with all his favorites while he still has the chance. I don't see anything wrong with that, especially since most of the guests are suited very well on the tracks they're placed on Jesus Piece.

He releases more music than almost any rapper in the game, he constantly adapts to changes in hip hop, always drops relatively big numbers when his album drops, and is well respected by almost every major emcee in hip hop. He's been outselling every Westcoast rapper consistently since the documentary dropped - why is this forum so quick to shit on him time and time again? He's put on for Cali more than any artist since Pac died. The only ones that can claim the same are Snoop and Ice Cube. He got dropped from G Unit less than a year after being introduced to the mainstream, yet he managed to stay wayyy more relevant than any other G-Unit counterpart. Nobody sees this though...

Case and point, Jesus Piece is right up there with Good Kid Mad City for Best Album of 2012 on the West.

take it u haven't heard xzibit's new one?

I heard X's. i wasnt hyped for it as I felt X had fallen off through the last decade didnt like his last 2 albums much. But your right Napalm is banging. GKMC is the best, but Xzibit and Game's albums are definately banging. Both were out of nowhere and surprising to me as I wasnt particularly hyped for either

Really? IMO DA is clearly better and after a few listens I like LAX more (but I liked LAX a lot more than most people.) With that said though, cool/decent album overall which is a hell of a lot more than I can say for RED.

Yup what Okka said, best album since D.A.. For me it'd go Doc > D.A. >>>> JP >> L.A.X. >> R.E.D.
