A Trey Deee album in the 90's would of been a classic.

Tray Deee wasn't signed to Def Jam to my knowledge but to Sony Music.

Tray Deee wasn't built to drop LP's IMO. don't get me wrong i love his style but his voice and flow are too monotonous to carry an entire album by themselves. he's more suited for killer verses here and there (i.e. REALITY), or occasional solo songs (i.e. tha gee in dee or there comes a time) and as a supporting act. and I think he knew this. that's why he dropped General's List (solid compilation) and had started developing a camp (IV Life Records) where he was the overseer and was involved in the music but not the center element. dude knows how to play his position obviously.

Overall I think he's had a good career, I mean the first eastsidaz album is a classic in my book. the second one has aged well too. It's a shame the Eastsiders album that they started doing for death row never came out.

2 group album, and a compilation under his name is a good career?!?!

i agree...tray deee is better suited as a featured artist, or part of a group. always comes in and drops a classic verse. don't get me wrong, a whole album would be the shit, but it would be hard 2 imagine tray carrying a full solo, unless there was a gang of features or some shit...

Tray Deee was supposed to drop a solo album on SPOP Entertainment after "The General's List" came out but then he got locked up and shit never came out.

The OG tracklisting to Generals List had more Tray Deee material on it, making it more of an album than a compilation.

'Take Cover' was supposed to be on it, as well as 'Can't Help It' (Tha Eastsidaz/PCR track).

Maybe they held some stuff back for the 2nd 'real' album.. :eh:

tray dee is cool but no one really wants a solo from dude, it would just be a DPG album anyway with with 2-3 features on every track
