Whattup ya'll, as some of you know i live in Edmonton, alberta, CANADA, home of the only stop on Snoops current tour where he is doing two shows (one was all ages)....my boy Harman is the Dj and concert booker/promoter, so i got free passes to both along with another couple friends.  Harman said he had talked to Snoop and supposedly Daz was not coming, but i was not trying to believe that!!!

Anyway, damnit, i missed DJ Jam playing for like an hour at the start of the first show/ when i got there he was  playing "Da Boss would like to See You", which sounded INCREDIBLE with the huge system!  Damn, why didnt Snoop make a song over this beat?  Then, out of nowhere, Uncle Junebug, Soopafly, Bad Azz, E-White, and some guy i didnt recognize walked out.....and then, SNOOP walked out and the place went wild.  To be honest, it was an almost surreal experience for me because like many people i have been down with Snoop for 10 years now.  He had tight braids and black sunglasses, and a Jets Martin jersey on....honestly, he looked like he did back in the day, and guess what? He sounded like it was back in the day too.

Here's a rundown of what songs he played if i remember correctly...

2. Murder Was the Case (DAMN DAMN DAMN)
3. Serial Killa (now this was maybe the highlight if the whole damn show, cuz the guy i didnt recognize turned out to be RBX...."deep, deep like the minds of...not picinic basket, picinic casket"....unbelievable)
4. Tell it like it Is- (pretty dope song, never liked it much b4 but honestly, somehow Snoop sounds BETTER live than he does on his cds!, soopafly and RBX got some shine on here)
5. U THought- Snoop and Soopafly, always loved this song
6. Still a G thang!!!!
7. Tha Shiznit (my fav. Snoop song, holy shit)

Rbx man, he has a fairly normal voice to tell you the truth....he told me he had an album almost completely finished, but would finish it up when he got back home.  Never got a chance to talk to Soopafly or DJ JAM, but its all good....although i was hoping to get some EXCLUSIVE news, but oh well!! I met Snoop (sort of) so i was happy.
The second show was almost exactly the same, except Soopafly never came out!?? Oh well, it was still mad dope...But Seriously, where the hell was DAZ?  He definitely was not there, wtf!

SNOOP IS THE FUTURE OF THE WESTCOAST IF HE WANTS TO BE!!!!!
- now, like a lot of you, i am disappointed with Snoops new album (although hearing some songs live changes it a little!).......but damn, Snoop has the same flow of old if he wants it man...he still has the potential, he can do it if he focuses and has some musical guidance.  I am convinced that Snoop can do much GREATER things with some help and focus, cuz NOONE can flow like him, not even Big Daddy Kane in 88!  People always say Snoop needs Dre, and i guess they right...it only makes sense that the best Westcoast rapper (if he wants to be) works with the best producer and makes one last classic!!
