i think pac is ok but i never understood the big deal about biggie.....everyone says his first cd is tight.....ok i give them that, but then they say he's the greatest because he got shot down in his prime....

one good cd doesn't mean you're in your prime...look at snoop he came tight his first cd and then declined into garbage

at least you can say 2pac was consistant if not improving

I think "Life After Death" was better than "Ready 2 Die"

Put Your Hands In The Air If Youz A True Playa Man that song has westcoast written all over it. He Stole Pacs concept so considering "Ready 2 Die" a classic ? Possibly, but considering the man who's name was on the release - hmmm I don't think so. That's like me building a car from designs and measurements I've stole of a friend and giving him no credit or money.

How did he steal Pac's concept? Don't give me the story about Pac having to change Me Against The World becuase Biggie heard it and then made his album in the same vein. And looking at it that Biggie song you mentioned was actually more west coast sounding than anything Pac had done up til that time.

Well 2Pac worked with Warren in 94, and the stuff he did with Stretch (that Stretch produced) prior to 94 was West Coast.

Biggie was one of the greatest of all time no doubt... To me, there is no one GOAT - nobody can ever be the best in everything (flow, lyrics, charisma etc...). But B.I.G., IMO, is definately up in da playaz club along with Pac and the rest of the legends.

But that one comment - "maybe if he had done 3-4 classic albums" shit. The guy did 2 classics. He may have done more, BUT HE GOT FUCKING SHOT DEAD. We'll never know - but I think we're lucky to have got what we got from the man.

Yeah that is true, I'll give you that one. But you still wrong about the whole Me Against The World/Ready To Die thing.

Almost anyone who hates Biggie DOES NOT represent the West Coast, the rep the legions of Pac dickriders who think it's cool to hate anyone who Pac did. Big = Pac. Always has been, always will be.

Or maybe we just really didnt feel him. You sayin it like if you dont like Biggie you a Pac dickryder. Big just wasnt nothin special. If he was alive today you think there'd be all this talk about him?

man biggie is tight i dont know what people be smoking and the reason people now say he is one of the greatest is because when you listen to new shit now adays and go back and listen to him and pac and so forth they are way ahead of these new fools.......biggie is tight one of the greatest they been playing all biggie mixes on power and 100.3 the beat out in LA all day showing lots of love for biggie all over the LA scene and those mixes where fuckin tight....biggie is def one of the greatest...

people complain that he only had two cd's when he died and that's the reason you can't say that he wasn't the greatest.

Dr Dre has 2  classic cd's. does that make him the greatest?

the thing is pretty much all rappers fall off or at least have a low point in thier career the only ones that haven't that i can think of are:

2pac:  he made 4 cd's all classic or near classic
eminem: 3 cd's and he's still improving

I know this is true, and will even admit that when Big first died I stupidly said "I gives a fuck. Fuck Biggie!". But now in my much more intellgient/mature days I'm a fan of Big's shit. One of the best emcees ever. And the whole Pac/Big beef was terrible. I laugh at dumbfucks who say shit like it was a good thing, or that we need more beefs like it in the rap game today.
