ive had my Ipod now for about a year

it gets a full-on thrashing aswell.
i use it everyday (on the way to work, in my car) and havent encountered a problem yet

i guess mine came out of a good batch!!

you guys got to think about how many ipods are out on the market and how many competitors players are on the market.... not even close and thus is the reason you would hear more about some of the apple ipod problems because there is just sooooooo many out there.... i bet if you checked the problems on both the creatives and the ipods it would probrably a less percentage with the ipods.... like 10 people might complain about something out of about 1000 ipods while 1 might complain out of 100 creative players which would put it at the same percentage .....just keep that in mind...

I got 3 iPods. A 60 gig 4th gen. A 30 gig video ipod and a 4 gig nano. The 60 gb died for about 6 months and now its working again lol. I got the best luck when it comes to iPods.

where i work just about ALL mp3 players on the market have defects on them, either from the factory or just dumbasses not being careful enough with them, but usually it's the latter. when i say ALL mp3's do this i mean ALL, and from what i've seen the ipod has the least amount of problems, and usually the problems that come from them is from dropping them or getting moisture in the charger hole thingy , it's like i tell everyone who buys one from my work, GET A GOOD CASE, cuz no matter how much you baby it something can and will happen and there goes your 200-400 dollars , it's either 20-30 dollars for a good case or  200-400 for a new player.

i had a 4th gen ipod 60 gig and after like 2 months it froze up bad, it'd restart it and it'd work for a bit then fireeze, then finally it just died, i sent it back to apple and they sent me a brand new 60 gig 4th gen, and i've had that for about 8 months now and it plays perfect.....the difference i think is on my new one i got a good leather case on it , some Hurley one with spikes and shit on but it's fucking durable as helli could run over it and it'd be cool still, but on my old one i'd always drop it on the floor , put my greesy hands on the clicker after i'd eat shit i'd even bring it in the bathroom connect my computer speakers to it  when i was showering, and by the time my old one died it had dents all over it like a busted car, so many scratches on it you could barely see the screen and so much grime on it , you'd have to get it sand blasted.that's how my broke. but it can take only one drop to fuck it up though.....you got to remember they're little computer hard drives

I've had 4 iPods:

1.  The OG Mac-only iPod - Gave it away to my brother when I got my second iPod...
2.  2nd Generation 20GB iPod - I bumped the shit outta this one for years.  It still works, but I use it as an external bootable drive because I now have...
3.  5th Generation 60GB Black iPod w/ video - I bump the shit outta this one day in and day out with no problems like the rest.
4.  iPod shuffle for the gym - Battery on that motherfucker lasts for weeks.

#1 I bought full price
#2 I bought with a nice discount
#3 Was a gift
