tha problem wit tha west is that tha only person who is really holding it down is dre,  xzibit struggled to acheive platnium status,  snoop,  he does go 2x platnium but it is also a struggle,  besides that no1 is gettin much love on tha west,  dre is tha only one on tha west that can push units in to platnium success easily

as far as "bringing the west back"... i didnt realize it left?  sales are down in general for anyone not named Ja Rule this year.  

I agree, it's gonna have to be someone totally new to make anyone outside of the west/westcoast heads appreciate the west more than they do now... Dre may bang in the clubs again with Detox, but when people are thinking about people on top right now most of them don't even mention Dre despite all his recent work.

The trouble is, just like the east a few years ago... there's only a few people doing their own thing in the mainstream... outside of Dre, Warren G, Snoop, Nate... most everyone else is busy trying to make shit that will sell, or make something that sounds like Dre.  Once that dies down again then perhaps the west will rise in prominence.

I gotta give you some damn credit for this post.  I remember when I liked Snoop's music from his No Limit days and people would tell me how hard Snoop fell... now he's back doing even better music and those same people are talking about how tight he is... then they have the nerve to call us Fudge Packers... lol ... well it's all gravy...
