Which album will bring the West back?
« on: December 19, 2001, 02:16:44 PM »
I think Snoop's next album could be the one...I mean his last album sold over 2 million and we all know Bitch Please was the joint that brought the West Coast back to the spotlight back in '99...I doubt Detox is dropping till at least late 2002, and Snoop's is rumored to be out by the summer...

this album is not supposed 2 be out earlier...

Anywayz I Think That Dj Quik will Make Noise with Safe & Sound 2,also Knoc Turnal with his debut

But The one That will blow up is Paid The Coast 2 be the Bost
Because Snoop is  getting better and Better and he is is thing on his own...And Im sure that this album will bring alot of surprise like sumthin that everybody is waitng 4 and the production will be dope as fucc

You guys are all dreaming. Snoop's next album isnt bringing back the west, and DJ Quik's and Knocturnals sure as hell isnt.
I personally think it will be a long time before the west coast is on top again....like maybe 7 or 8 years. And when it does happen, it wont be Snoop, Xzibit or any other DPG affiliates. It is gonna be a brand new generation of hungry rappers who will bring something new and innovative to rap.

Dr. Dre - 2001 brought the West back. Unfortunately other artists could not make albums that were up to par with it therefore the chance to take Hip Hop back faded away. Xzibit - Restless and Snoop Dogg - Tha Last Meal were the only West Coast albums to get major exposure since then.

THE ONLY PERSON WHO WILL BRING THE WEST BACK IS A NEW ARTIST

When an eastcoast fan thinks of the west, they think of dre, snoop, nate etc. Almost no one else matters to a lot of people. Alot of west coast artist have fallin off and the rest don't get any play on the radio or air time on tv.

I think someone needs to get in the game from the west and do there own thing. Start their own label do something original. The west seriously needs new faces.

Detox-no doubt!
Man VS Machine is going to be fire as well becuase Xzibit said restless was only 1/10 of what he could do lyrically and his next album he said he's going to try to bring a 10 so that maybe also
