the more dipset I hear the more I realize it's all sonic. there's alot of poetry in the world of written publications that actually has commonalities with the way they write their verses. that's interesting as fuck, cause on a sonic level that shit flows nice you know? it sounds good, especially if the production is done right (which admittedly, I don't hear too often with the dips, though I'm down with a few of the cam beats I've heard, who produces their shit mainly?). i really need to check more of that shit out...I may be taking a visit to dipcc....

Yeah, Cam and Dipset for me is like Easy listening rap music. It's perfect for when you don’t want to actively listen to what they're saying (ex. cruising, partying, background music etc). The beats are their backbone though there's no question. It's too bad because I don’t think they're really fucking with Heatmakerz anymore and those two styles together were like peanut butter and jelly. Basically everything they did before Cam's Purple Haze was the shit for me. Plus all the old 'Roc in-house production didn't hurt (Just, Kanye, etc). I think a lot of that "computers computin'" and "goo goo gaa gaa, with tah tah in the Bahamas" shit is really just there to make their next line (which is likely just grade C average lyricism) sound 10x better. The flow and over all package is really what they're selling.

i wouldn't say it's C level cause you can't take the lyrics serious. some of the greatest songs of all the time you can't take the lyrics serious, the shit sounds good. but yeah I see what you're saying
