I agree that he was better prior to his Carter albums.  Or maybe I should just say with Mannie Fresh behind the boards. 

But I really don't understand how some people are so infatuated with him.  The dude says he's the greatest so people automatically believe it.  They think he's got some swagger so they try to associate themselves with it.  It's kinda homo if you ask me.

for me its the opposite..i was judgin him by his old shit and thats why i thought he was wack...but after hearin some of his latest mixtape shit i started to appreciate dude...fuck all the titles people wanna give rappers though..Im tired of hearin king of this or greatest..just fuckin make music and do you.

Well hopefully you'll enjoy Carter 3 because Wayne has confirmed he's already done tracks with Fresh so we might see something on his new album.

My fav wayne track 2 do this day is way of life...amazing beat, great hook by TQ as well...I dunno about him...i can't stand his voice..i never say "let me throw on some lil wayne" but i won't get mad if he's on 1 of my rappers tracks or whatever...I think mannie fresh on the beats also helped, good 2 hear he's on carter 3

and yes it is pretty much well known gillie da kid use 2 ghostwrite 4 wayne

Carter era Wayne - very good rapper, possibly the best in the South
pre Carter era Wayne - terrible rapper with boring music and the occasional slappin beat
