What a few critics are saying...

"Paul Thomas Anderson has grown immensely as a writer/director since his last feature film, so much so that in a single film he has become America's most visionary and accomplished auteur."  - Cole Smithey

"There Will Be Blood" is ferocious, and it will be championed and attacked with an equal ferocity. When the dust settles, we may look back on it as some kind of obsessed classic."- David Ansen from Newsweek

"As astounding in its emotional force and as haunting and mysterious as anything seen in American movies in recent years." David Denby from New Yorker

"The film will most often be compared to Orson Welles' Citizen Kane, so I guess I can get the ball rolling on that particular crutch -- but it's also an apt comparison."- Scott Weinberg from Cinematical

"When Upton Sinclair wrote OIL! – it was when he discovered how greed can destroy a community, here – PTA has created a masterpiece." Harry Knowles from AICN

It's received Best Film of the Year from the Los Angeles Film Critics and New York Online Critics

From the trailer look like it could be a great role. In general he's always been a superb actor. My Left, Name of the Father, Boxer, Gangs of NY. Great stuff.

-It's Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film.  He hasn't made one bad movie.  Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love are all great movies.
-Daniel-Day Lewis looks amazing in his role as Daniel Plainview
-Give it a chance  ;)

I didn't like any of those movies, especially not Magnolia.

No Country is good. Probably will win, and it's enough proof for me to take your opinion serious. I was just making sure your idea of film of the year wasn't Live Free or Die Hard, or saying something like Scarface was robbed. Raging Bull sure, Scarface? No way.
