You're an intelligent dude, and I hope this question doesn't turn out to be ignorant, but do you do any political or so-called "conscious" tracks?

Not full-on conscious.. I can't lie.. I'm a product of G-Funk!
I did it more as 'Shady Montage'.. one track I recorded with Lord G, "Real Street Blues" stands out..

I let Bishop Lamont hold down the "Souls of Mischief" seat.. whereas I wanna sit in the Quik section.

Less than 10 seconds of a track, but that sounded good. In fact: it sounded great ;D Thanks 8) What's the name of that song?

"All Nite Long" from my forthcoming 3rd solo lp "PNLA".

Keep doing your thang , you're a good rapper .. the fact that you take time to chat with the fans and not being sensitive about potential criticism has to be hugely respected ...

Constructive Criticism:

I bought the album Informal Introduction and I really liked it mainly cause of the features and the production.

When I first heard Shade Sheist , I was like this cat is cool , laid back flow , im feeling it.

But after a while it got on my nerves.

Shade´s flow is like hes hiding a secret. Always whispering, like a spy-rapper.

I'ma add to your's since your's is almost like mine:
I think he's got talent (possible mainstream appeal, more than crooked but less than game)
but like you mentioned main reasons I was feelin his album is cuz of the features and production.
IMO he choose a bad single, and that shit was str8 up jus a bad song.  but then again the album didnt really have a commercial hit on it as some would say.
as for his style-I mena its unique and some fans like it, some dont.  I think he can spit and I'd say he's better than Damizza as a rapper on rapper comparison.

it would be better to go independent after uve released a few non-independent albums i.e Cube ..

now whilst game gets less per CD.. becos of the greater exposure .. he can make money thru other ventures which can make u probably more money then rap.. ie acting, video game, sneakers, clothing line...

look at like Will Smith & Ice Cube, in some of there recent films theyve probably made more money then in royalties for all of there rap careers especailly when u consider the the fact that Smith & Cube direct/produce/write/co-write in many of their films too..

Rappers on majors barely make money off record sales. Tours, merchandise, etc. is important for their pockets. They should be happy with a few cents per sold unit.

Independent rappers get like 5 to 9 bucks per sold unit, depending on their contract(s). Internet sales make them more money than physical sales. Go figure.
