the thing is the euro crackers as you like to call us are usually more knowledgeable about and more interested in "underground" hip hop than the US people ... it is very likely that lots of hip hop fans in the States between 20-25 have no idea who the Twinz, Lil Half Dead, Kam , DJ Quik are ... they're too busy at listening to Weezy , Gucci and all that mainstream garbage ...

It clearly shows from the results that dubcc do benefit from the overseas/foreign fan base. Without them, the forum would not be as active as it could be, nor would Hip Hop music if it was only to be sold, discussed, and contained within California be as successful, in demand, or even have some of these artists or producers waste their time to make music. There's a lot of bigotry, and stupidity on this forum sometimes, when people should be grateful that there are still pockets of people who appreciate good music, and that they do exist globally. People in 2011 no longer need to live in a state, or country to know it's music scene. In 2011, the internet allows anyone to know that.

It isn't the 90's anymore, and any artist who isn't (no matter how small) not on the internet, is living under a rock somewhere or dead. kids, veterans, even nobody's are using twitter, blogs, news-streams, even forums etc etc., making the old form of "having to tune in to the local (US) radio" to hear the 'new' song defunct, and no longer exclusive. To make it blunt - the internet has replaced everything that has restricted the "euro's" or any other country from really knowing what was going on with a music scene

It kind of reminds me of the tattooist I go to, who had a complaint about a freelance (not-so-good) tattooist going around tattooing cheaper on the side, annoyed at the fact he doesn't pay any licensing, certifications or rent and rates. He wanted him to be charged for his illegal tattoos, but realised that with him going around, it actually gave him a lot of work for people coming in for corrections, cover-ups etc.

None of that is true.

In Europe the dudes who get recognized are the biggest mainstream artists from the US. Lil Wayne, Eminem, 50 Cent (not so much anymore), Snoop Dogg etc.

Only very few know who OFWGKTA, Hopsin, Nipsey etc. etc. are.

Unfortunately people just eat anything that gets played on the radio.

maybe in Denmark, but Hip-Hop is huge in countries like UK, Germany and France and there are hip-hop only radio stations.
