Yeah it's like peoples minds stopped working like they used to.


People knock Dre saying he fell the fuck off (or never had it, stole credits etc) but damn, he knew how to motivate people and make them mesh ideas so brilliant things could happen.


Until rappers, producers and musicians lose their egos and work together as a creative unit..and bounce off, jam and critique each others shit when writing songs, hooks and not least verses (not just spitting the first thing that comes into their heads over a pre made beat) the classics and hits will never happen like they used to.

Creativity and intelligence is key, not cliche/contrived shit

I think he fell off hard. Back in 02 dude was a monster and these days his shit is average at best.

rick rock was at the top of his game in 02 in terms of exposition when he produced mainstream hit singles for the likes of Jay Z & Fabulous, but he was doing better shit music wise when he first came out as a study of Mike Mosley in the mid 90's.

I don't think Sean T has fallen off, dude managed to update his formula and keep his shit at least decent throughout the years, he was the shit in the 90's, he still produced bangers in the 00's and he still does his thing even if he ain't as active as he was in the mid 00's.

Lynch fell off as a producer...he used to produce entire classics. nowadays, we're lucky to get one beat from him on his own project.

yeah , nowadays maybe all of them fell off but in my opinion westcoast producers are the most interesting and original producers ... big hutch, quik, young tre , daz, battlecat , rick rock, fredwreck ..so many talents ...i think the south run the rap game since the early 2000's but the westcoast got the more complex and original sound
