West Coast Classics: Perfect Songs
« on: November 04, 2013, 07:34:01 AM »
Classic west coast rap songs tend to be laidback and a little sloppy, but there are some tracks that I think are truly perfect, where there is no possibility for improvement. The vocals and the beat are top notch, the vocals fit the beat, and the whole vibe of the track just works. I'm going to nominate three songs as perfect:

1. Kurupt - We Can Freak It
2. Tupac - Hold Ya Head
3. Quik - Somethin 4 Tha Mood

I don't think these tracks can be improved. They were perfectly realized by their creators. What else deserves inclusion in this list?

Wow...seriously?  That song to me is just filler with more talking than actual lyrics.

I would agree about this song, Ain't No Fun, and You Know How We Do It. These are real clean songs, where the creative vision was just perfectly realized.
