I have every single dj quik album, every single amg album, every single mausberg album, every single suga free album (expect pomona pimpin), playa hamms layin hands, every single 2nd ii none album. And my Swing'n cd is on its way. I think i know enough about quik to tell you my opinion. And yes i do have a dre cd and have heard more than alot of dres music to be able to judge who i think is better.
can u tell me what's your point there?Did I ever say u don't know enough to judge Quik or Dre?U, not me YOU said people only wouldn't give Quik his props cuz they don't know him.But ME and everybody in here DO know him AND we know Dre AND we (the majority) still say Dre's the betta one.So u can't say it's only cuz people don't know him.
Well i guess im an idiot that doesnt understand music then. Ill just go back to my hole.
Honestly speaking, has Quik produced an album comparable to The Chronic? I don't think so. It's surely a matter of taste, but you can't deny Dre's influence on hiphop producers. He changed the game while bein on Ruthless, he did it again on Death Row and now that he's established his own label he does it again.
Rhythm-al-ism mixed jazz, rock rap and funk to create an amazing album in hip hop. Quiks production on this album changed the game just as much as dres did on the chron.
