The Netherlands ain't Northern Europe homie. And in actual Northern Europe I don't know one guy who ate pasta with ketchup. Gotta have proper tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. Freshly grated, of course.

Oh and mayo actually goes with both - fries and sandwiches. (Although in Finland the ketchup + fries combo is the typical choice, mayo with fries is somewhat of a rarity, but some people (like me) do that too. Never ever mix them though)

I've had both and truth to be told, mayo actually does taste good on your sandwich. Peanut butter and mayonaise on your sandwich tastes good as well. I know it sounds disgusting, but it's really something you should try
