I thought everyone already knew this, but I guess not, cuz Rodzilla and Roccy seemed shocked when I told them...I remember hearing that a White Guy started the whole Hip Hop Culture or some shit by scratching his old vinyls...i forgot his name, but I'm almost postive I heard it more than once...I think one place I heard it was on a VH1 special "History of Hip Hop" or some shit...I bet everyone already knew this by now, but I'm just making sure because some people (*cough* E-A Ski *cough*) were saying the whites are stealing Hip Hop when they were the one's who started it...But whatever, it doesn't really make a differnce too me...PeaCe...

Thanx for the info, but it doesnt mean a thing for real who started it. If whites acts like whites talking like whites and ABOUT whites without disrespecting blacks then it's cool, they can rap. And it's the same with blacks. I hate when eveything is an excuse to start "blacks are better" or "whites are better".

If they do, they stupids. And i'm saying it strong. Cause the importance is the message of the song, not the messanger. If the rapper puts passion and love for the track, and if it's good, i dont care where he's from and which color is his skin. Music deserves respect, if it's good. Like Pac said (referring to P.Diddy): You can hate the rapper, not the rap song. Cause song is art.

the roots of hiphop comes from africa, 2000 years back... since people couldnt read and write, it was difficult to write down their history.. so the Schaman ( the man with most knowledge) told his people their history around 1/month... and to make sure that they wouldnt forget it, he made it rhyme, while people were playing drums in the background... so he "talked in rythm" - and thats the definition of rap

The Zulu Nation labels the 12th of November 1974 the original birthday of hiphop and it was Kool Herc (Clive Campbell) who started it (not the Zulu Nation, that was Afrika Bambaata but hiphop). He's the guy in my signature which should show he's black. He's Jamaican
