wow, its seems like ages ago since i was here. i know i said  I was never coming back but that doesn't really matter right now. don't expect me to be coming here very much, but i have gotten my life to the place i wanted to get to when i left here last year. i've cut all the excess and unnecessary bullshit that was wasting my time and taking my time away from the most important things in my life. i am real happy and my focus is solely on music and family and thats it. no bling bling, no watching tv, none of that stupid shit. so i will probably drop by every once in a while.  (not too often though).  For some reason today as i arrived in the studio i was just overcome with the urge to check in with y'all motherfuckers. I had to step into a side office and have one of our engineers get me online. i didn't know if I'd remember my password, or how to type, but i did. Anyway, how has everybody been? i hope all is well. the board and some of the names on this board have changed since i left but thats great.  I'm sure some of you are happy to see me back and some aren't. but thats fine. if you like me, fine. if you don't like me, fine. if you believe me ,fine.  if u don't believe me, fine. I don't care. my life and my attitude is at a positive place so anyone who's negative to me won't faze me. i WILL NOT respond or even acknowledge any negative feelings, accusations whatever. I aint letting anything negative enter my mind. imma stay positive. whatever you wanna do is up to you.  well, enough about that shit.  I got a few things to share with you. i won't talk about much news cause it looks like anything that comes out is finding its way onto this board. i just got a few things you may want to hear. i'll post this and then reply with some comments.

well, things here at aftermath are as you would expect VERY exciting. Em's album blew up, as expected.  there was a little apprehension here about how it would do, but we weren't too worried. like i said before i left, em is getting closer to the classic album he's capable of making.  he's just gonna keep maturing and talking about diiferent things.   Subconciously, one of the reasons I wanted to visit the forum was to promote Truth Hurt's album. It's scheduled, as you probably know to be released on June 25th.  Unfortunately, right before going to press R kelly was indicted for child pornography.  That put dre and interscope in a tough dilema as R Kelly is on truth's album.  I haven't been in the studio or talked to Dre since wednesday so i haven't heard if they have decided to go ahead and press the album or put a hold on pressing and redo the title track.  if they redo it the album will be delayed.  the other guys in the studio don't know either. hopefully when larry or dre show up they'll know.  its a VERY tough decision I'm sure.  back to truth's album, I am very very impressed.  its unlike anything you've heard for a while. dre's tracks are crazy and truths singing puts others to shame.  some will complain that dre only did a few tracks but he mixed and remixed every song on the album and was there 95% of the time when truth was doing the vocals.  so keep your eye out for any changes in the release date and when it does come out PLEASe go buy it.
a few other tidbits, dre and snoop aren't really beefing, but.....
before i left i talked about scott storch's situation with aftermath. as you know there were a few lawsuits to hit us because scott basically took things from other artists songs without permission, replayed them for dre and told dre they were things he came up with on his own. dre put the keyboard melodies on a few songs and we were hit with the lawsuits. it shook dre a lot and his trust in scott was broken. its a shame cause scott is so fuckin talented and a good guy.  he don't need to take shit from others. so scott probably wont do much with dre anymore. dre is running a tight ship right now and I don't blame him. i dont listen to much outside music because i want to make sure i come up with shit that is not influenced by anyone elses music. i won't let dres trust in me be broken. dre allows me to present my ideas or creations to him and he allows us to expand on his ideas but believe me dre is coming up with almost everything off the top of my head and what is ending up on records is being done in his presence.  most of the time us and dre just create beats and then dre adds the vocals and mixes it later. i come in to replay or add some things to the tracks, but only about half the time am i in the studio while the artists are.  
dre vs. jd? should have never happen. dre ain't taking back what he said, but he wishes he would have keep silent.  jermaine's pathetic cockyness pissed me off though.  i give him credit for what hes accomplished, but he aint or never will be close to dre. oh well, some people live in a dream world. plus i think it has given dre something to prove and thats dangerous. ill talk about dre in my next reply.
