you got to be on crack to say anything BUT Def Jam

Def Jam no doubt

DR only lastest for 4 years

that's like saying Gun's and Roses is greater than Aerosmith...

I totally agree... saying DR was better than Def Jam is like saying Nelly is a better MC than Eminem...

so then by big jakes theory... no way could biggie be the best rapper since mad other rappers lasted longer...

i guess that means scarface, snoop, too short, king t, will smith, nas, jay z are all better since they lasted longer

i dont think biggie is the best btw or even care that much for him but u get the pt

Why should Def Jam be tha better record label since they have been around longer?? Its not about quanity is about quality!! And who has put out tha better quality off music?? Just look at what Death Row was all bout, like i said they had the greatest producer ever in Dr. Dre, the 2 greatest rappers ever in Snoop and Pac, and the best rap group ever in Tha Dogg Pound!! Def Jam is a tight label no doubt, but they no way compare to what Death Row brought to tha rap game!!!!

Death Row in that era, where ALL THE GANGSTA classic shit came out,
of course def jam is on the list
so is ruthless
all comapneis came out with classic stuff
but death row is what got me, 2pac, dre, snoop, DOC, rage, DPG, nate dogg
everything, most of my fav rap artists were on the OG Death Row

Best record label is Def Jam. Back in the days, they had LL Cool J hungry and Rockin' Bells, Slick Rick Tellin' Storys, Public Enemy making a Terriordome out of rap, Beastie Boy making college frat house drink Brass Monkey, Rick Ruben producing, and everything. Later came Warren G Regulating, Onyx Slaming, then later DMX Ruff Ryding, Ja Rule Hollering and Jay-Z fucking up the game with his Blueprint on how to make a classic. (I'm no fan of Jigga, but Blueprint was a classic) You never know when Def Jam went from LL, to PE, to G Dub, to Onyx, to DMX, to Jay-Z. Def Jam has always stayed consident. Death Row was hot for awhile, and blazed the game and changing it in it's 4 short years, 92-96, but Def Jam has always out lasted. But Russell has sold it, and were will Def Jam be in the future. Who knows, but Death Row is coming back.

As for Ruthless, If Cube & Dre never left, everything but 2Pac would have been Ruthless. But Ruthless had no busness savey in terms of artist. Imagion NWA and Tha Dogg Pound, and Bone Thugs, and Rage, and Above the Law, all under the same label, shit, that would be too fuckin good. And Eazy would have signed Warren G, and G-Funk on Ruthless, with more Dre style beats, and Cold187um a.k.a. Big Hutch, and Yella, it'd be the shit. Ruthless might have been better that Def Jam. But either way, we can only wish for a Eazy E track featuring Cube, Snoop, Kurupt and a raw Bizzy Bone with Nate on the hook.
