sean paul has made many good songs imo.

i can see why people dont like him though, he gets repetitive with his shit n if u dont like him from the start n radiostations play his shit 24/7 then of course it gets annoying. I like some of his songs though, n ive seen him live a couple of times..

but he really went commercial with his shit.

what really amazes me is how Sizzla has followed sean paul n elephant man etc.,,cause troughout hes whole career he said he would never sign with an american company or even perform in the western countries, when he came to sweden 2 years ago i thought oh well maybe he has changed hes mind,n  i was happy cause before that i thought i had to go to jamaica or somewhere near to see him live, i dont have any problems with him signing to an american label n performin all over the world, he can do whatever he feels is the best situation for him, its just a shame cause hes a big joke in hes original fans eyes now, cause he did what he said he will never do + hes music now sounds terrible..
btw i know this has nothin to do with sean paul, but i have been thinkin about it the last dayz

But Sean Paul is gone too commercial and he's played the fuck out. He's talented, tho.

Damian Marley is the one that's ahead right now, I'd say. And I have not heard "Welcome to Jamrock" yet, but "Halfway tree" was fire. I've always liked Spragga Benz. Capleton, Jr Kelly, Sizzla... there are tones of dope dancehall artists.

And pleeze, don't confuse it with reggaeton. That shit is wack!
