 Kokane & Traffik Release "Make Believe" Video Off New Album - By : Nima - July 31, 2012
 When cultures collide, the result can be anything fron wonderful to deadly. In the case of Australian musician Trafford Kennedy, better known under his artist moniker Traffik, and Jerry Long, better known as Kokane, the marriage of two styles from different continents resulted in an exceptional fusion of funk, neo-soul and hip-hop, aptly titled "The New Frontier".
The album will see light of day on August 7th, 2012 via the artist's independent imprints, Bud E. Boy Entertainment and Chosen Warrior Music. The majority of production is handled by Traffik and the CWM family, guests include Soopafly and G Malone.
As promised, we have the official video to the first single off the album, "Make Believe", available for you to watch below. The song is produced by Earl Grae Music:

If you've been following Kokane's moves for the past months, you've probably noticed an incredible increase in visibility, following and presence in the marketplace, which is largely due to his independent grind and new ventures, such as the DJ King Assassin-supported mixtape "Dr. Kokaestien".
The "Dr. Kokastien" mixtape is currently #4 on Billboard Heat Seekers, #19 on the Rap Albums chart, #20 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and #28 on the Independent chart. Kokane's last album, "The Legend Continues" is #11 on the Billboard Heet Seakers chart and #27 on the R&B charts.

 Neighborhood Nip Hussle continues the grind that started with release of The Marathon Continues late last year that's seen him drop media including videos for Forever On Some Fly Shit, Run A Lap, I Need That Video with Dom Kennedy, as well as appearances on L.A. Confidential with Blanco and Get Mine alongside Kid Ink.
We dropped Nip's Performance at Smoke Out Festival 2012 with Guerilla Union, last month before catching up with him Live in Amsterdam for an Interview Feature where we caught up on his huge last 12 months.
In May we were back with the Rick Ross featured Proud of That produced by Jiggy Hendrix record and then his Up Close Documentary Europe 2012 VIdeo that charted his The Marathon Continues tour.

 Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre - who premiered The Recipe produced by Scoop DeVille via Big Boy's Neighborhood on Power 106 in April - were set to unleash the video from Kendrick' major label debut via Aftermath/Interscope/TDE on July 10th.
The date came and went without the release - in the intervening days Kendrick did stop by Power 106 to announce the official release date for his highly anticipated major label debut "Good Kid In A Mad City" as October 2nd as well as dropping his and Dr. Dre's Live Coachella 2012 Performance Video as well as a brand new record Swimming Pools (Drank) produced by T-Minus and mixed by Ali & Dr. Dre.
The Swimming Pools (Drank) record - initially a buzz track - has gathered huge international interest, including being featured in the UK on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and word is via the folks at AHH that a video has since been shot for the cut that will debut this Friday August 3rd on BET's 106 & Park.

 A little over a year ago one of hiphops most talented groups released their sophomore album "Firing Squad". The HorseShoe G.A.N.G, who on their debut offering provided a perfect blend of out of this world lyrical ability without compromising their natural song making talents, were back in 2011 with that album and its buzz single 6' 7' Remix.
Since that release the group have featured on Crooked I "In None We Trust - The Prelude" EP that dropped via iTunes late last year. We dropped the video to Drum Murder that featured the G.A.N.G.
Last month we announced that the group was planning to drop their latest project entitled "#TrueStory" this summer and we dropped the buzz record Go Hard featuring K-Young over a production from Bona Fide. Earlier this month the group then appeared on the Crooked I Presents: C.O.B. Cypher 2012 video but today they return with another record to hype "#TrueStory" over the "Goldie" instrumental - check it below!

 Having confirmed that Snoop Dogg had reincarnated as Snoop Lion with the release of his new single La La La last week, we followed that up yesterday with the announcement that he, Suroosh Alvi (co-founder Vice Media), Ted Chung (Stampede Management, Diplo and Sway of MTV News would take part in a Snoop Dogg as Snoop Lion: Reincarnated Live-Webcast at 5:15 p.m. EST/2:15 p.m. PST yesterday.
For those who missed the webcast the details unveiled were that Snoop's recent stay on the island of Jamaica has led him to be "reincarnated" as Snoop Lion and will release an entire reggae album produced by Diplo and the Major Lazer production team as well as a documentary, photo book and a non-profit initiative called Mind Garden.
Initially set as a trip to focus on his music in an isolated environment, the journey quickly morphed into both a musical and a spiritual awakening. "For this project, I had no intention of making a reggae album, but the spirit called me. Anytime the spirit calls you gotta know that it's serious and real" recalled Snoop on both the Rastafarian culture and the Jamaican people who embraced him along the journey of being reincarnated into Snoop Lion.
Snoop revealed that his newly adopted moniker Snoop Lion – a change that has had huge press attention since its announcement last week - was given to him by the revered Nyabinghi upon his arrival to the island. The name is derived from the Lion that appears on the Imperial Ethiopian flag and remains an honored symbol of former Ethiopian Emperor Halie Selassie I and the Rastafarians themselves.
"I didn't want to be Snoop Dogg on a reggae track...I wanted to bury Snoop Dogg and become Snoop Lion, but I didn't know that until I went to the temple and received the name Snoop Lion from the Nyabingi priest. From that moment on, I started to understand why I was there and was able to create something magical in this [Reincarnated] project...something I haven't done before in my career."
In celebration of his La La La single and to commemorate 50 years of Jamaican independence on August 6th, Snoop has made 1962 copies of limited edition 7" vinyls to distribute.
During his time in Jamaica VICE documented Snoop’s very personal journey and his time spent with Rastafarian elders. The documentary, REINCARNATED, features never-before-seen images of Jamaica, as Snoop was granted unprecedented access to Rastafarian culture, temples and Jamaican culture. The riveting documentary was also just accepted to the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival and will premiere on September 7th and 8th, 2012 - we have the trailer for you to check out below.

Not only was his time documented on film, but also through awe-inspiring photos of Jamaica's rich landscapes and beautiful people. The photos were captured by Los Angeles photographer, Willie T, and will be released as a coffee table book through VICE.
Snoop was deeply affected by the people of Jamaica and also discussed his role in the development of Mind Garden, a non-profit social initiative focusing on community gardens that will provide essential nourishment to the kids in Kingston, Jamaica.  Back in May, myself and the DubCNN team had the great opportunity to be a part of a historic night in Malmö, Sweden, which brought together some of Hip-Hop's legends along with the best battle rappers in the world for the O-Zone Battles 2-Year Anniversary.
Among the guests were M.O.P., WC, Crooked I, Yukmouth, J-Ro, Kuzzo Fly and battle rappers such as the homie Okwerdz, Dizaster, Arsonal Da Rebel, Pat Stay, Illmaculate, Thesaurus, Dirtbag Dan and Swedish spitters R-Man, Mr. Cool, O Hund, Nomad, Spakur and Third Eye.
It was a great event and while the overflow of absinthe, other liquors and good agriculture made it hard to document everything properly, Okwerdz had his camera man on point. We just received a 12-minute recap of the night from Okwerdz perspective, and he even found space to include yours truly in the video.

A little over a week Snoop Dogg was on Dubcnn to be officially reincarnated as Snoop Lion with the release of his new single La La La under his new moniker.

 A couple of years ago, Sky Balla seemed poised to become one of the leading figures in the Bay Area rap scene. DubCNN last caught up with him in 2008 for an exclusive interview in time for the release of his last release, "Tycoon Status", which spawned the singles "Mobbin' All Day" with San Quinn & E-40 and "California Soul" with The Game.
Known for his impressive collaborations with the who's who of the industry, Sky Balla's relentless grind took a big hit shortly after our interview with him. He got locked up in 2008 and has been incarcerated since.
Sky got his start as a member of The Gamblaz, as San Quinn's protege and he has worked with the likes of Fabolous, The Game, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, N.O.R.E., Cassidy, E-40, Capone, Slick Pulla, Stack Bundles, Mac Dre, Bleu Davinci just to name a few.
His grind took him many places outside of California, and for a while he was closely affiliated with both Dipset and G-Unit and was heavy on the mixtape scene, appearing on tapes from the likes of DJ Whoo Kid, Tapemasters Inc., Sickamore, Nu Jerzey Devil, Big Mike, September 7th, J. Armz, DJ Woogie, DJ Haze, DJ Rah2K, DJ Delz, DJ Wizkid, Digital Product and many more.
His album released prior to his incarceration, 2008’s “Tycoon Status” sold an impressive 5,000+ units even though as he put it in a letter written from behind bars “I was locked up 3 days before the release of my last album ‘Tycoon Status’. I was not able to promote it or market it the way I would have liked to. It still managed to sell 5,000 plus Soundscan CD's, which is better than some artists who had the whole year to promote”.
As he eagerly anticipates a late 2012 release from prison, Sky Balla will release a new album of unreleased material on September 4th 2012. The new project, appropriately titled "Tha Life I Cho$e" will drop via Endless Hustle Entertainment through EMPIRE Distribution and includes feature guest appearances from Fabolous, Game, 2Eleven of Young Jeezy’s CTE, Konvict Muzik artist Ya Boy a.k.a. YB The Rockstar, San Quinn, J-Diggs, Big Rich, Freck Billionaire, Dubee a.k.a. Sugawolf, Belly, Harm, Spyda D and Enoc. Production is handled by Dr. Dre protégé Focus, J-Money, Cozmo, Young Yonny, Matheo, Priceless and Trackaddict among others.

 Compton, California's own 2nd II None will be releasing "Infinite", a greatest hits compilation, on July 31 through Coastal Contra Music Group. "Infinite" features DJ Quik, Hi-C, and AMG, as well as the late DJ Quik protege Mausberg.
KK and Gangsta D's catalog consists of a self-titled 1991 album through Profile Records and 1999's "Classic 220". 2nd II None also recorded, but never released an album called "The Shit", which was originally planned for a Death Row Records release.

 Last month we reminded you that the release of the long awaited Slaughterhouse debut album - "welcome to: Our House" - on Eminem's Shady Records was quickly approaching and that the supremely talented lyrical quartet - Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5'9 - had released the video to My Life featuring Cee-Lo Green.
We followed that up with the official album cover - shown - along with word that "welcome to: Our House" will be released on August 28th 2012 and will be executive produced by Eminem.
Then last week we followed up with the Mr. Porter produced lead single featuring Swizz Beatz entitled Throw It Away that you can cop on iTunes and today we can confirm that the group will release a DJ Drama fronted "Gangsta Grillz" in the next few weeks.

In recent updates we brought you videos for NigHtmare On Figg St. directed by JeromeD, Druggy's Wit Hoes Again alongside Ab-Soul and the news that his label Top Dawg Entertainment, home to fellow rising stars Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul recently put pen to paper on a joint venture deal with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records.
ScHoolboy Q and fellow Top Dawg Entertainment representer Ab-Soul then wrapped the month long Groovy Tour in May before showing behind the scenes of the Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre video for The Recipe.

 Yesterday we introduced Patience Price [see Patience Price Ventures "Into Hell" For New Video] thanks to his Jerome D directed video Into Hell and that fact he's managed by David Faustino - aka "Bud Bundy," aka "Grandmaster B" under Old Scratch Records.
Today the homies at HipHopDX have dropped this great interview with David Faustino. In it they get some exclusive information from the days when he - known to television viewers then as Bud Bundy from the groundbreaking sitcom Married... With Children - ran his Balistyx Hip-Hop nights at Whisky a Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in the early 1990s.
In the interview he recounts how will.i.am defeated Xzibit in battle; "Yes, it is true. [will.i.am] rocked the mic for so long there. And in Xzibit’s defense – and not to take anything away from Will whatsoever – Will had built up quite a fan base at Balistyx by that time. He had just built up a giant fan base in that audience. And like I said, he murdered shit on the mic. So cats that didn’t have that fan base yet built up, because he had been reigning champion on that mic for so long, they didn’t really stand too much of a chance. I can’t quite remember how close the battle was, but yes, Will definitely continued to hold his place at #1 on the mic there.",
He also detailed how Eazy-E once danced to the Ice Cube diss "No Vaseline" - "I remember Eazy, he would come through all the time. And then toward the end of N.W.A., when all the shit was going down with Ice Cube, I remember he was there one night. He had just rolled through by himself. Speed was spinning and Eazy rolled through by himself to see Speed, just to hang out. I don’t think Speed was deejaying at that moment, someone else was on the tables, and they spun [Ice Cube’s] “No Vaseline.” And, you know, what could Eric do but just kind of [go with it]? He got into the spirit of it. He was on the balcony and people could see him, and he just kinda like got into the song and was singing along and bopping his head and moving his arms and shit to the crowd. What could he do, run away? He was a good cat."

 In April Inglewood Producer/Artist Disko released his new project Starz On Marz - from which we've been premiering music and video since late 2011 - for free download. In late April Disko caught up with our very own Dubcnn Radio to discuss his album Starz On Marz and amongst other things how DUBCNN gave him his start - missed it? Listen Again Now!.
Disko was back on Dubcnn during May with a new record entitled U Ain't Never Lied before revisiting the Starz On Marz project earlier this month with the Christiaan Adams directed video foCali Love featuring Diamond Ortiz, Khase & Baby Dee. Last month he was back with another video from Starz On Marz, for the record The Pain / Evolution featuring Kris Dime once again directed by Christiaan Adams.
Today we move away from Starz On Marz and look forward to Disko's next project, as yet untitled, that should be out before the end of the year. The first track from that release has just leaked and features Kurupt and is called "Kali Dreamin'" - check it below.

.......................................................................................... Kokane & Traffik Prep "The New Frontier" Album For Aug. 7th - By : Nima - July 23, 2012
When cultures collide, the result can be anything fron wonderful to deadly. In the case of Australian musician Trafford Kennedy, better known under his artist moniker Traffik, and Jerry Long, better known as Kokane, the marriage of two styles from different continents resulted in an exceptional fusion of funk, neo-soul and hip-hop, aptly titled "The New Frontier".
The album will see the light of day on August 7th 2012 via the artist's independent imprints Bud E Boy Ent and Chosen Warrior Music. Production was entirely handled by Traffik himself, while guests include Soopafly and G. Malone.
You can expect the first video off the album to be released next week, but for now we have an exclusive preview track off the album for you to vibe to. This record is called "Turn It Up" and features Glasses Malone. Hopefully we get to see a video this one as well:

 This Carson California wordsmith doesn't necessarily need a formal introduction. Let's just do a quick career retrospective. Dubcnn was one of the first places that introduced you to Bishop Lamont online, before the chance meeting with Dr. Dre on the set of The Game's "Dreams" video and him being scooped up to Aftermath.
While sitting on the shelf over at the "House that Dre built," Bishop Lamont made the very best of his impatience, and later frustration, by ultimately checking in, via varied cameo appearances on others' high profile projects, whenever the opportunity presented itself, as well as continually flooding the streets with his popular mix-tape entries - all of which have appeared on Dubcnn down the years [check the archives].
After more than five years without his solo album release, Bishop opted to part ways with Aftermath camp, following in the footsteps of many signees; most notably Joell Ortiz, Rakim, Hittman and Last Emperor, before him, it was early 2011 before we tracked him down for this exclusive interview .
During the latter half of 2011 new music was scarce but at the turn of 2012 we confirmed that a re-worked version of his shelved Aftermath LP "The Reformation" was in the works. Following the promotional trailer for the first single off of "The Reformation" we then brought you the full Sodom and Gomorrah single with DJ Rhettmatic and then his 5 Fingers of Death Freestyle.
Bishop is finalising "The Reformation" for release under his own Diocese Entertainment imprint but within the new few weeks will release a new mixtape with DJ Woogie entitled "The Layover" - and days ago he released the first sample titled "Dont Stop" featuring Mopreme Shakur over a Nick Speed production - check it below!

 Patience Price is a hip-hop artist born and raised in Portland, Oregon who has been honing his skills from the age of 19 in the bars and nightclubs of college towns throughout the Pacific Northwest. Over the past few years he's earned a reputation as a talented artist/performer but also a writer - penning tracks for numerous local artists including, most recently, Limp Bizkit front man, Fred Durst.
Following last years Soulstyce Festival Ben Westhoff - music editor of the LA Weekly - stated that "Patience Price was the most fun I had all night," and even said of his debut EP, "Adrenaline & Vodka" "He has solid flow...its easy to see how the album could be a favorite of true-school hip-hop fans."
Personally managed by David Faustino (aka “Bud Bundy”, aka “Grandmaster B”) Patience Price is now signed to Los Angeles-based label, Old Scratch Records and now calls the City of Angels home.

 Few know it but one of Wiz Khalifa's first appearances online was right here on Dubcnn back in 2007 with updates that included the news Wiz Khalifa Signs To Warner Bros & Releases "Talk To Me", singles including Youngin' with Terrace Martin & Problem and his smash Alice Deejay remix Say Yeah with Bishop Lamont & G. Malone.
Since then he's literally become a household-hip-hop name thanks to singles such as "Black and Yellow," his debut LP "Rolling Papers" and last years That Good and Young, Wild And Free from their movie Mac & Devin Go To High School which we reviewed this month.
Wiz Khalifa was on Dubcnn earlier this year with the single Mt. Money alongside Fashawn from a planned collabo but at the same time has been finishing up his own solo album "O.N.I.F.C" which should drop next month.

The Holmdel, New Jersey stop has added Slaughterhouse, French Montana + Red Café, Chief Keef and Tinie Tempah and lastly, after hearing all of the fans' requests, DMX and EVE have been addedto Mountain View, CA, rounding out their appearance at all three Rock The Bells Festival Dates
Accompanying the news of artist additions, another stage has also been added exclusively to the San Bernardino festival titled the Guerilla Union Stage mixed by DatPiff. Referring to San Bernardino’s NOS Events Center, Chang Weisberg of Guerilla Union states, "The Fairgrounds in San Bernardino allows us the room to build an additional stage, versus the amphitheaters in Mountain View and Holmdel where it is not as spaciously possible. Plus, Southern California is our home-court. It’s where Rock the Bells all started. We wanted to do something special for the fans that have supported us from the beginning. The Guerilla Union Stage is our way of saying thank you to our backyard fans that helped catapult Rock the Bells to what it is today, giving us the ability to bring the music and the experience to additional cities, nationally and internationally.

 In February we had the Young Giantz, a duo consisting of Deuce Mac and Bigg Joe West both of whom are sons of West Coast legend Playa Hamm, back on Dubcnn with new music!
The first time we heard from the duo was in 2007 with the banging single Weeest! which featured Playa Hamm, then the next single Big Big Bizness in 2008 before dropping Truthfully Speak'n, Catch Da Fade, I'm a Dodger and U Can Get It during 2009, all hyping up their then to be released Gqcality mixtape which dropped in January 2010 hosted by DJ Battlecat.
The release of Gqcality also saw a video drop for the single Weeest and since that all we've had from the duo was the late 2010 drop Paystyle Pt. 2 and this Exclusive Video Interview With The Young Giantz in Summer 2009.
Then in February we dropped off a new single produced by DJ Battlecat called Don't Stop Party'n that is set to appear on the "Itz In Uz, Not On Uz" album due later this year. The single, which can also be bought via iTunes, was the first media in over 18 months and last month we were back with Foeva On Sum Giantz Shyt over the Nipsey Hussle record Forever On Some Fly Shit as well as a new music video directed by James Wade for a new track entitled Do Betta that featured Titus Notez.
In May we returned with news that the duo had teamed up with Big 2Da Boy for a mixtape release entitled St Helens featuring Eastwood, C-Love, Toke Da Smoke, Tha Chill, Meeso, Gangsta Dre'sta and move over production from Terrace Martin, Seige Monstracity, Face Trakz, Johnny Juliano and more.
Deuce Mac and Bigg Joe West have been riding on the success of St Helens since its release but today they show that they wont be slowing down as they drop a brand new track and video. It was November 2010 when Xzibit last referenced a project called "Napalm" and that was a planned mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Scream - from which we brought you Ugly featuring Trick Trick, Jay Rock & Bad Lucc - in the lead up to his eventually-delayed "MMX" album.
Since late 2009 we'd brought you the singles from "MMX" that included Hurt Locker (and its music video) plus Phenom.
Yesterday Xzibit lifted the lid on his first album since the 2006 release of "Full Circle" via Twitter and has titled it "Napalm" and dropped off the full tracklist, features and production credits. Today, international superstar Snoop Dogg officially becomes reincarnated as Snoop Lion with the release of "La La La" – the premiere Single from his forthcoming album "Reincarnated".
Produced by Diplo and the Major Lazer production team, “La La La” was recently recorded in Jamaica and is Snoop Lion's debut song. Releasing soon, "Reincarnated" sonically represents Snoop's time in Jamaica where he was positively impacted by both the Rastafarian culture and the Jamaican people who embraced him along the journey of being reincarnated into Snoop Lion.

 Press Release: Los Angeles rapper Ras Kass, regarded by many as one of the most lyrically gifted MCs to ever pick up a microphone, has joined forces with EMPIRE Distribution to release his upcoming projects.  Last year we introduced New L.A. Talent Alphabit and across 2011 we kept you up to date with the 22 year old SoCal emcee Alphabit, with his various releases.
Tracks including Home Of The Brave, Up Out My Face, Cheers and Take Off led to the released 18 track mixtape The TakeOff which we brought you in full for free download on Dubcnn.
That project, which featured production from Tekk, MidNite, Young Genius, J and Rob, James Lewis and of course AlphaBit himself, was his first step in getting his buzz up and in August he returned with the single Sun, Beach & Babes, a reworked version of Aaliyah's "Back & Forth" - produced by Ms Mello as well as music video for the record. A few weeks later we dropped off a new track called Running Game this time with R&Beast Rodney B and fellow SoCal emcee Gitem.
So far in 2012 AlphaBit has announced a planned project called "Despicable Bit" and dropped the records Bomb Shit, Trouble featuring fellow LA up-and-comer K-Boy and most recently Heat Check - a re-twist on Ice Cube's classic "Check Yo Self."

 Brian James (FKA Wing) is the Compton native who last year dropped the long awaited follow up to his 2008 Eat Or Be Eaten and 2009 Eat Or Be Eaten Vol. 2.
Life On Mute was released on Dubcnn in conjunction with Soul Vintage in December 2011 having spent the months leading up to the project dropping media including Listen produced by Malcolm Harvest along with its music video, the DJ Ophax produced record Above It All, the single Tried featuring Art Barz and Lou Urias - and its music video - and finally If I Could featuring Ghost and produced by Chris Reed.
In March he was back on Dubcnn being interviewed in Episode 43 (03/09/11) of Dubcnn Radio and weeks later dropped the ArtBarz directed Growing Pains music video followed by one for Good Heart with Quiz of Blu Division, Pawzone of IzrlRecords and Alesha Ashley.
Today we return with news that on August 14, 2012 the Compton, CA native and Soul Vintage artist Brian James will return with a brand new album entitled "Freedom Summer" - a record inspired by the 1964 campaign of the same name that attempted to increase voter registration within the African American community in a time when African Americans were excluded.
"Get Up" is the first release from the LP and is a track that aims to inspire the urban community to take action by understanding that they are the drivers of their own destiny. Producer Chris Reed of Soul Vintage creates the instrumentation that mirrors the in-depth lyrics of Brian James - creating a powerful and uplifting record - listen below!

 West Coast OG Big Hutch from Above The Law spend 2011 focusing on new music including Electric Lady from the EF U Hutch EP and Lord Have Mercy from his long awaited Only God Can Judge Me album.
He later dropped a video for Big Hutch's Revenge before releasing his From Pomona With Love mixtape for free download on Dubcnn in March of this year. Last week we heard from Big Hutch under very different circumstances with the tragic news that Kevin "KMG" Gulley Of Above The Law Had Passed Away.
Today we return with a press release and video relating to his music that details a lawsuit he has filed that relates to the "Love Is Blind" record by EVE that featured on the 1999 release "Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady."
In the suit Hutch claims to have co-wrote and produced the track - even calling in the Aftermath songtress Truth Hurts to sing the hook - before EVE made the transition from Aftermath to Ruff Ryders where "Love Is Blind" was then completed and released; but without credit to Hutch. He approached Aftermath for help but without proof they could not help in the claim.
In the years that have followed Hutch has been incarceration and only during this time of re-establishing himself has he found the original cassette tape of the recording in a storage unit that contains all of his masters since the beginning of his career; a video of Hutch playing that tape can be watched below - judge for yourself.

 Since the top of 2012 K-Boy - who spent much of the last 12 months rehabilitating from four gunshot wounds suffered in the May of 2010 - has been a regular on Dubcnn once again.
Since late 2011 he has moved from under Glasses Malone's Blu Division/Division Music to form the We'On Music Group and in our recent updates he's given you new music including the acclaimed By Any Means (Malcolm X) record alongside Kendrick Lamar [for which there is also a music video], the Nvis and MeMe featured tracks Need Your Love [watch the video] and Lights On.
In early 2012 we dropped th Rick Hughes produced Secret Sundayz as well as OverDose over an instrumental by in house producer Bre-z as Ace provides the hook.
In the last six weeks we've dropped even more new music including Shower featuring NV & Phat Boss produced by Kuddie Fresh, Fuckem with Belvy & Richard Wright over a Bre-Z beat, Lights On Remix (We Gone Be F*cking) featuring Conflict his feature on the Taj Mahal record No Homies alongside Jadakiss, Ready and most recently the Bre-Z produced For The Money.

 K-Young dropped the deluxe version of his project "Keep Talkin About Love" on iTunes and all digital retailers last year and quickly started work on a follow up album said to be titled "Distinguished" by dropping the single Liquid Love featuring Alumni Music Group signee Kid Ink.
Then in May Treacherous Records blasted out a new single entitled If Ur Single produced by Rob Holladay that was set to feature on a new EP "Free Will" that was scheduled to drop BEFORE the album "Distinguished." Last week we confirmed that today, Thursday July 19th, he would drop a mixtape titled "Something Different" - cover shown - hosted by DJ Far.

 Bay Area spitter A-Wax released his new album "Everybody Loves Me: Chapter 1" on July 17th via Illburn Records/EMPIRE Distribution. The album has been a long-time coming for the Pittsburg, California, rapper, who's spent time signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik, and working in studios with the likes of Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, and more over the past few years.
"Everybody Loves Me: Chapter 1 features French Montana, Styles P, Mistah FAB, and more, and to celebrate the album release, A-Wax is excited to release a video for the album's latest single, "I Miss You."
A-Wax, was inspired to write "I Miss You," he says, when he started to reminisce about having lost friends young, and the influence he's had on other people's lives due to his history of gang banging. And from the song's opening bars, A-Wax sets a dark tone, as he offers the listener striking visuals. "Think about it drunk; think about it high," raps A-Wax, opening the song. "If I think about it too much, I'mma cry... All this shit just keep playing with my head/ Playing with my chopper, laying in my bed."

Today, Slim leaked a new record off the album that had already been buzzing behind the scenes: "Shake It". The song features a replay of the classic "California Love" talkbox outro, originally sung by the late Roger Troutman, but they switched it into a contemporary club smash, check it out:

 Up and Coming West Coast emcee Rosevelt has just released his sophomore mixtape and this one caught our ears in the office last week and is not to be missed!
Born in Dayton, Ohio Rosevelt relocated to the Inland Empire in the late 80's and later settled in Long Beach. Since the mid 2000's Rosevelt and his Grindmode team have been doing exactly that dropping mixtapes and doing shows.
This month he released his sophomore project entitled "Rock Bottom High LP" with production credits that include Epik, THX, Willie B, Seige Monstracity, Sega and more plus features from Chuck Dizzle, C-Nice, Kokane, Brooke Jean, Yung LA, Kasi Jones, Dynamic Certified, Techniec, Smokey Lane, Ill Camille, Hawdwerk, Noa James, Skeem Price, Roscoe Umali and Karelezz.

Now - free from his previous record deal with SRC/UNIVERSAL - Topic is under his own Boss Life World LLC and is looking to release a new project titled "Freedom Ain't Free" from which we dropped The RadioFliers produced Freedom Ain't Free (F.A.F.) Intro in last weeks update.

 As Fashawn builds towards the release of his upcoming solo album "Champagne and Styrofoam Cups" he has spent some of this year working alongside fellow Grizzly City representer Omar Aura helping him build his buzz.
The Grizzly City Boy Affiliate has been grinding for some time now bringing his fresh energy to the table with a "G Funkesk" style. Omar was featured on Fashawn's Higher Learning 2 Deluxe Edition as well as recently releasing his own "The Auradon Sessions: The American Don" project.
During that time he has also toured with Fashawn, Wiz Khalifa, Talib Kweli and Evidence and has worked with artists including Curtains, The Grynch, The Federation, G Malone as well as label mate Fashawn on the One More Try single and One More Try Music Video.
Today he is on Dubcnn with a new solo record that will feature on his next project, "The Auradon Sessions: Players Only," which Omar Aura promises will be his best work to date! "Automatic" is produced by Stantastic and can be heard below.

 Pasadena legend Harold Blue - one of the people behind the city's annual Yardnic event - had a busy 2011 dropping the Mike Towns directed videos for The Fig is in the House and Which One featuring Macc as well as appearing on 4 tracks from The Hedonistic Mixtape (Mixed by DJ-Age) released by XL Middleton - including the Refill record with Reality Jones and XL.
Harold Blue also released the single Every Bitch Pay that featured on the Yardnic 2011 Mixtape as well as Ragtop Muzik featuring Mike Townz and produced by S.Class.
Today we are back as Harold Blue has just sent us the video to a brand new record title "Cup Of Ice" that features Bell & Moniquea and is directed by Mike Townz. The song is set to feature on Mike Townz' own mixtape "Certified" as well as his own "Raised By My Daddy" later this year.

Since the top of 2012 K-Boy - who spent much of the last 12 months rehabilitating from four gunshot wounds suffered in the May of 2010 - has been a regular on Dubcnn once again.
Since late 2011 he has moved from under Glasses Malone's Blu Division/Division Music to form the We'On Music Group and in our recent updates he's given you new music including the acclaimed By Any Means (Malcolm X) record alongside Kendrick Lamar [for which there is also a music video], the Nvis and MeMe featured tracks Need Your Love [watch the video] and Lights On.
In early 2012 we dropped th Rick Hughes produced Secret Sundayz as well as OverDose over an instrumental by in house producer Bre-z as Ace provides the hook.
In the last six weeks we've dropped even more new music including Shower featuring NV & Phat Boss produced by Kuddie Fresh, Fuckem with Belvy & Richard Wright over a Bre-Z beat, Lights On Remix (We Gone Be F*cking) featuring Conflict his feature on the Taj Mahal record No Homies alongside Jadakiss, Ready and most recently the Bre-Z produced For The Money.
While finishing up "The Blue Light Special" K-Boy has decided to release a sampler entitled "The Anticipation" in the next few weeks and we have his re-worked G-Mix of the recently released Glasses Malone and Ty$ record That Good - listen below.
