 Diamond Lane Music Group recording artist Problem is proud to announce the release date for his latest album that he will be releasing with the following video for his latest leaked record, "It's Alive".

 Los Angeles jazz and hip-hop musician Terrace Martin will be releasing “Locke High 2” on October 25th, 2011, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2008 project “Locke High”.
On "Locke High 2", Terrace once again demonstrates his incredible production and musical skills, but he's also doing an incredible job on the microphone. He also reached out to Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Bobby V., Problem, TyDolla$ign, Bad Lucc and Ill Camille among others, to support him.
In support of “Locke High 2”, Martin will be releasing several videos, the first being for “Love” featuring TyDolla$ign. The video for the song has already been shot and should be dropping soon.
Since the release of the 08 “Locke High”, Martin has been in the studio working on projects with Murs, DJ Quik, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, 9th Wonder, Quincy Jones, among others. He has continued to build up his fan base in the past few years with his projects such as “808s & Saxbreaks”, “Here, My Dear” and “The Sex EP”.
Terrace Martin’s “Locke High 2” will be available on October 25th via AKAI Music/EMPIRE Distribution, and will include guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Problem, Bad Lucc, TY$, Bobby V, James Fauntleroy, TayF3rd, Ill Camille, Punch (of Top Dawg Entertainment), along with DJ Drama endorsing the project.

 Hailing from the home of Nelly & the ST. Lunatics this up and coming East Saint Louis, Illinois representer recently caught the ear of Dubcnn with the release of his smash hit single Shorty Is A Weirdo alongside R & B crooner Ray J and Shy Carter.
Mr. Midwest recently took some time out to speak with Dubcnn and really comes across as a man who knows what he is doing and uses his connections to get things done while coming across humble, solid and appears to take care of everyone that is supporting him.

 Despite his name the Oceanside, San Diego representer John Doe wants to put his name on the map. Although using a moniker best known as referencing an identity unknown John Doe has plans to ensure the Wikipedia page has to offer an alternative source of information for this long held term.
Having been on his grind locally for some time now he released an EP in June called the "Stupid Dope EP" [available via HotNewHiHop] which featured a record called Still I Rise which caught our ears and then just recently we've been sent a new track by this hungry MC entitled "Blast Off" which really hit and today we are dropping it off for you to check out.

 L.A. prodigy Blu recently released his second project in as many months. Having appeared at Paid Dues alongside Exile and Fashawn [Blu Performs New Song w/ Fashawn & Exile @ Paid Dues 2011 Video] earlier this year, he then took time to speak to us about his upcoming album "NoYork!" in this exclusive Interview.
Then he was back dropping Doin' Something, a posse cut which saw Blu, Pac Div, U-N-I, J*DaVeY, TiRon and Aymomari all on one song.
Last month Blu appeared again, not with "NoYork!," but under an adopted an alter-ego B for his latest interim project "Jesus." That release - which is in stores now, and can be bought via Amazon and iTunes and features memorable collaborations with the likes of Alchemist, Madlib, Planet Asia, and Hezekiah - spawned the Madlib produced title track Jesus.
 A couple of weeks ago we we let you know that Blu was back with another new release under Nature Sounds, that released this week on September 27th. "Open" sees Blu showcase his beats more than his mic skills as he produced every track including the single we dropped Avenge Of The Cheap where he does make a rare vocal appearance trading verses with frequent collaborator Sene.
To celebrate its release this week we are back with another sample of the album where he shows that depsite the undoubted talent on the beats - he's still a rapper at heart. "Steel Remains (Raw)" is a hardcore lyrical assault complete with M.O.P. samples which finds the usually mellow Blu channeling his inner battle rhymer. Check it below.

 Having dropped one of their finest episodes two weeks ago in Microphone Masters: Episode 27 (09/12/11) with Locksmith & Wendy Day the duo of J-luv and Blaze Rock took a week off from the usual Monday drop of the Microphone Masters Radio Show as Mr. Blaze Rock was in Sin City enjoying the electric Fight Night atmosphere that only Floyd Mayweather can create.  Southern Cali based hip-hop duo The Gooneez (Andre Abella and Frank Clark) have been around since 2003 and over recent years have been grinding to build their fan base & buzz by making music and dropping it for free online.
The duo started with two albums "Never Say Die" and "The Key to One-Eyed Willie" before dropping their mixtape series "Outside Lookin’" which led them to regular live shows across Hollywood & Southern Californias most premiere music venues including The Viper Room, The House of Blues Sunset, Key Club, The Knitting Factory, The Grove of Anaheim & 4th & B.
Last year the guys linked up with Cali Untouchable DJ Warrior to release "The Dazed & Confused Mixtape" and just recently they have put out their latest project "#Anonymous" which sees them align with The Fratelleez a three piece band that fuses rap, rock and punk influences to create upbeat music with a fresh sound.
"#Anonymous" - which boasts a lead single with Kendrick Lamar - recently caught our ear and we have both the single "Too Strong" and the full release available for download below. When asked about the release the group said; "Were just trying to break new ground on what this genre can produce and build a positive lasting legacy in this game.  It's been sometime since we last updated you on Bay Area veteran and underground legend The Jacka of The Mob Figaz. Late last year Jacka teamed up with Andre Nickatina to release their duo EP "My Middle Name is Crime" and we presented the title track's video on Dubcnn, if you missed it check My Middle Name Is Crime now.
Since then he's been busy working on adding to his already stellar record as an independent artist with a new 3-Disc set of albums. He's already sold over 500,000 records independently and amassed a cult following that spans from the west coast to the midwest.

 Back in June Casual aka Smash Rockwell of the legendary Hieroglyphics crew popped back up on Dubcnn in the article Casual Drops "Mic Memorial" Video From "The Hierophant" LP and we gave you the visual for Mic Memorial and that we told you was set to feature on his new LP "The Hierophant" due out later in 2011.
Days after that update Cas was back on Dubcnn with the video for Divine Dreams as well as to inform fans that "The Hierophant" was available to listen and purchase early on his BandCamp page for just $7.99.
The album, which is produced entirely by Dj Toure', features Tajai of Souls of Mischief, Pep Love, Thomas Pridgen of Mars Volta and MoonShyne.
Today, fresh off a string of Rock The Bells performances and a free show at Highline Ballroom in New York City, Casual is back with the latest video from his recently released LP as well as to let everyone know that "The Hierophant" will now be packaged and re-released at retail on October 18th.
The new video is for the song "Fiend For Hip-Hop" and is a self-directed clip for a record that finds Smash Rockwell at his sharpest lyrically, spitting his verses while taking photos with a variety of video vixens. Check it below!

Regular visitors will already be aware that this week, September 27th, sees the release of Evidence's highly anticipated and long awaited album "Cats & Dogs" - the follow up to his critically acclaimed "Weatherman LP."

 It was back in June when we first introduced you to the incredible new talent that is Azad Right - see; Azad Right Releases Incredible "A Piece Of Mine" EP.
As we said in that very update we see countless new artists and material passed to Dubcnn and every once in awhile someone bucks the trend of dissapointments and showcases an ability to put a genuinely interesting slant on the culture with an opportunity to influence the masses in a positive way.
The Venice, CA artist - the son of a divorced-blind poet, classically trained pianist and violinist with a Bachelor’s degree of Iranian descent - is exactly that someone and in June released his first single Spiderwebs and his acclaimed six track debut EP A Piece Of Mine right here on Dubcnn.
Azad told us then, "My story is something that people should know about. Hip-Hop culture has grown so much and I'm living proof. Ten years ago, an Iranian-American rapper was an impossible career choice. In 2011, I plan to make it my reality" and today, as well as releasing his first full length project, we have a recent interview we did with Azad to find out a little but more about this talented MC.

L.A. prodigy Blu is just about to release his second project in as many months.
Having appeared at Paid Dues alongside Exile to premiere a Fashawn featured record [Blu Performs New Song w/ Fashawn & Exile @ Paid Dues 2011 Video] earlier this year, said to be from his long awaited new album "NoYork!" which he discussed with us in this exclusive Interview, he then dropped Doin' Something, a posse cut which saw Blu, Pac Div, U-N-I, J*DaVeY, TiRon and Aymomari all on one song.
Just last month Blu appeared again, not with "NoYork!," but under an adopted an alter-ego B for his latest interim project "Jesus." That release - which is in stores now, and can be bought via Amazon and iTunes and features memorable collaborations with the likes of Alchemist, Madlib, Planet Asia, and Hezekiah - spawned the Madlib produced title track Jesus.
Today we are back as Blu is back and about to release another record with Nature Sounds on September 27th, this time though the mic is getting little use as he's putting his beats on full display with his new production album "Open," on which he produced every track.
On the new single "Avenge Of The Cheap" - available below - he makes one of only two Open tracks with vocals from Blu himself. Blu trades verses with frequent collaborator Sene over his own funky, dusty production. The moral of the story? Life is like a cheap-ass merry-go-round. Check it below.

West Coast legend Kurupt will be releasing a new compilation “Kurupt Presents Penagon Rydaz” on October 4th, 2011 via Penagon Entertainment/EMPIRE Distribution.
“With Penagon Entertainment, we cover everything from films to music to TV and more; we do it all,” Kurupt states. “Here at Penagon on the music side of things, we put out more than just rap. We also cover country, pop, R&B, and just everything.”
On the “Penagon Rydaz” project, Kurupt formally introduces some of the artists on his label, including Y.A., Trini Savah, G Hood, and Freddie B. “We wanted this album to help showcase the artists we have on our roster,” reveals Kurupt. “This is a family operation and everyone on here deserves the position because of their talent. This is their platform to show what we have here at Penagon, and what to expect from them.”
Standout tracks on the album include the Dame Grease-produced track “Massacre Central”, as it gives listeners an introspective view into Kurupt’s personal thoughts. Party tracks are also featured on the album, such as the funky up-tempo track “Take It Off” with DJ Quik and the Rick Rock Yay Area remix of “I’m Burnt” featuring Snoop Dogg, Problem, Daz Dillinger, E-40 and The Federation.

One of the stand out songs on the album was the smooth "What Kinda Life Is This", which finds 4-Tay spitting game about life and the trials and tribulations he's gone through in the past years. 4-Tay listened to his audience and grabbed E The Don, who is featured on the song, and shot a dope video.

 The Long Beach group FrattHouse, consisting of G.B. (the son of RBX) and E-Money (cousin of Snoop Dogg), have been regulars over recent years on Dubcnn. During 2009 and 2010 they released tracks including Am So Fly and Get That Paper both featuring Daz Dillinger before they dropped their "Jukebox" project for Free Download and in Streaming Audio Format.
In the months after that release they dropped a collaboration album with Daz Dillinger, Get That Paper, from which we brought you two Daz Dillinger featured cuts; Wood Grain and You Gonna Want Me as well Goin Head Up, a track without Daz.
Following that G.B. and E-Money appeared sporadically with the single Hotel and then last year on the Daz Dillinger compilation "This Is Long Beach" on the title track; This Is Long Beach.
Today we are back as the duo are back getting ready to release a new project together but under there solo names G.B. and E-Money rather than as Fratthouse. The new release, which is called "Leftovers" is - as the cover in the update suggests - a tribute album to their favorite group and homies Daz and Kurupt to "Show them how much we admire them as a group and [to thank them for] being there understudies for years now." We've been sent two tracks from the upcoming release "It Dont' Stop" and "Things I Know" which is produced by 14k.

 Having dropped their collaboration project Infinit Angles - The Roscoe Sessions with Infinit P'Tenchul for free download on Dubcnn earlier this year, Erbin and Biologik better known as All Angles are gearing up to release their own album in the coming months.
In late August we announced that "City Of Angles" was the name of upcoming album and we dropped off the first single from the project entitled All We Do which features Zapata The Ghost and Robbs The One over a production by Erbin mixed by Brown Caeser.
Today we are back with the title track to "City Of Angles" as well as video that has just been sent to Dubcnn literally just shot and edited. The record - which is produced by J.Camargo - can be heard below as well as the video which is produced by MORE Productions.

 Earlier this year we introduced you to Harold Blue of Pasadena who holds a legendary status in his hometown as one of the organizers of the city's annual Yardnic event. In that last update we told you he was now in the mix with XL Middleton's freshly re-formed Crown City Entertainment imprint and dropped off his Mike Towns directed debut video The Fig is in the House.
That smooth, lowrider-ready record showcased Harold Blue's melodic take on the Westcoast sound and then he appeared in June on 4 tracks from The Hedonistic Mixtape (Mixed by DJ-Age) released by XL Middleton. That included the Refill record with Reality Jones and XL.

 Dubcnn last caught up with former First Lady of Aftermath, Shari Watson, aka Truth Hurts, for an Exclusive Interview back in 2009 as part of our "Womans Touch" series to catch up on her moves having parted with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment.
In that Exclusive Interview Truth brought us up to speed with what she’s been up to, set the record straight on her departure from Aftermath, talked about working with Dr. Dre, Raphael Saadiq, Mel-Man, and DJ Quik and tells us what we can expect from her in the near future.
Since that interview she has spent much of her time on acting and doing shows across the world but today we just got word that this month she appears in the Austrian September 2011 issue of Penthouse Magazine and is photographed by Stefan Dokoupil.
In the feature Truth Hurts announces she has signed a new deal with "The Publishing Department" and is preparing for an album release in early 2012. Check out the images from the shoot below.

 As we've been reporting for the last few weeks Hoodz Finezt very own Dubb has been building up to the release of his second project of the year.
Having already dropped the acclaimed Face Of California mixtape earlier in 2011 he has continued to pump out new music including the 100 Barz (XXL 2012 Freshman Freestyle) single, a video for Passin Me By as well as a video to his record Fly.
Since the announcement of his new album "The Departure" he has been flooding the streets and online with new promo records including the collaboration with Cali Swag District called Drop It, then the cut Hood Nigga featuring Ty$, Joe Moses and The Menace and then late last month he announced the release date of "The Departure" as September 11th 2011 and released the LP's official Trailer.

 Richmond, CA - Northern California rapper, Locksmith, has made sure to make an impact with his rhymes and will continue to with the release of his free solo album, “I Am Lock” on September 11, 2011 on his official site iamlock.com.
The project features production from some of the finest including E-A-Ski, Ski Beatz (“Dead Presidents”), and Left (of Frontline). With a refreshing take on rap and demonstrating his ability to be more than just a battle rapper, Locksmith is amongst the new leaders of Hip Hop, especially on the West Coast.
Locksmith first turned heads from his appearance on MTV’s Freestyle Battle in 2003 and on the Wake Up Show with Sway and King Tech. He also became a household name as one of the members of the group Frontline. Most notably now, Locksmith is known for his rapport with legendary producer, E-A-Ski.
"There are very few ‘battle’ rappers who get their music played in clubs, but I've been able to blur those lines; that's something that I'm very proud of and it's something that I feel comfortable doing,” Locksmith explains. "This is why I'm putting out this body of music – to quiet those perceptions. When you hear the product, you're gonna be able to judge. Whether you like me or not, you can't put down the quality of music. I'm very proud of what it is."
After releasing free songs here and there, Locksmith has been overwhelmed by the number of positive responses from supporters. Now, he feels the need to give back to those fans, and to demonstrate his own range and diversity capabilities. The album will give listeners “that raw uncut Hip-Hop” sound. Locksmith states, “When you get the full product, you will hear a more diverse landscape of music than what you're usually used to from me, so I'm showing what else we've got in store.”
Standing above 6’0", Locksmith already stands out amongst the crowd. With industry artists and his label IMGMI behind him on his solo endeavor, his future stands as tall. Locksmith continues to work hard in the studio, as he hopes to release another mixtape some time in October 2011.
Following that, he will be releasing his solo album “Embedded” in November, with production done solely by East Coast producer Ski Beatz. To start off the 2012 year, Lock will follow-up with another solo album “Labyrinth”, which will feature production by E-A-Ski. As Lock said, “This is the very tip of the iceberg."
