news Game Releases Statement Regarding BWS - December 26, 2005 By : Yash

The Game has issued a statement explaining the situation which has been materialising over the past week between The Black Wall Street & The Real Black Wall Street camps : "I know all of my fans are wondering what the fuck is going on with The Black Wall Street. Hear it from the horses mouth. I was forced to switch the domain of my former website theblackwallstreet.com to therealblackwallstreet.com due to the disrespect shown towards me from ex-employees who decided to turn their backs on me & my imprint because they felt they weren't getting enough money out of me."

He continued: "In the past year (2005) I have spent over $1.5 million dollars on my homies & employees of The Black Wallstreet label. I bought niggas Nu cars, gave niggas thousands of dollars in cash daily, paid for niggas to go on trips that hood niggas will never be able to go on in their lifetime. I took care of niggas kids, paid niggas rent, gave niggas jewelry & a lot of other shit that I didn't have to do. All that and I HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING in return from them. I let niggas live, let them make money off ME using my name, selling my shit all without asking for a cut, and gave them the opportunity of a lifetime to do whatever they want, opening the doors very few ever see to get in the business and giving them the chance to make something legal, positive, and legit out of their lives.

"All you niggas had to do was be men & apologize for trying to fuck over a good nigga!!!! Their came a time when I felt like I was being taking advantage of by the people closest to me & like anybody else would, I got fed up. A lot of my homies & former employees have continued to disrespect my company & my name by selling my T-Shirts & mixtapes behind my back making thousands of dollars & keeping 100% profit without cutting myself or anyone else in (even after they sent in resignation notices from the Black Wall Street) and talking shit about me. This whole situation has been a total fuckin nightmare for me but as a man I will deal with this as I have every other obstacle that has surfaced since the beginning of my career.

I never thought my own family & homies would turn their back on me, but Dr. Dre told me that this day was gonna come 3 years back. For my fans on theblackwallstreet.com I have a Nu website which is therealblackwallstreet.com!!! If you wish to e-mail me about this matter or any other you can e-mail me personally at thegame@therealblackwallstreet.com. For the fans & people who decide to stay on the old site I wish you guys the best but I will not be affiliated with the old site EVER. I don't and never did hold any grudges with the niggas that tried to fuck me & take food out of my sons mouth (I always let them be and do them and never stopped them), but I will never ever forgive those who turned their back on me.

I came in this mothafuckin' world by myself & I will die BY MYSELF!!!! Niggas can say whatever they want about me behind my back but when I see em' they curl up like little bitches. If that last sentence offended you then that means you one of the niggas who tried to fuck me. TRY AGAIN MOTHERFUCKER"!! I will close this letter by saying, I ended Joe Buddens career, smashed what was left of Memphis Bleek, waisted the Young Guns & killed G UNOT ALL by myself!!! There is no one else worth beefing with. Oh yeah, fuck Spider Joke & all them fake ass G UNOT crips........ Again FUCK SPIDER JOKE & ALL THEM FAKE ASS G UNOT CRIPS !!! Spider please stop trying to fool these fans into believing your a factor in this L.A. Gangbangin' shit. You don't even come outside & I know 100 crip & blood gangs lookin for yo buster ass nigga. How you gone be from a crip gang in L.A. and then be from G UNOT crip (and get G UNOT tattooed on your body before you get your OWN gang ). Now 50 is the leader of a crip gang?? huh??? ha ha ha ha ha 50, aint NEVER puttin' yo shit out nigga. And I been had a diss record ready for you in the vault, but your shit was such garbage it aint even worth puttin out and givin you any shine. I've never before heard a rap nigga TRY to bang as hard as you do on records and in interviews, its obvious the reason your around them cops is because 50 is "tryin to start a war on a coast he aint from" between bloods and crips, and capitalize off it while innocent niggas die in the middle and he laughs all the way to the bank. Don't let someone throwin a little money your way change who you are. Loyalty first. Open your eyes........... G UNOT is DEAD !!!

As for Lil' Eazy, you will never be ya father you little disrespectful shit......... R.I.P. Eric "Eazy- E" Wright. Funny how you were cheesin on my DVD 6 months ago, but now that your album about to come out and single has gotten NO play (EVEN in L.A. radio stations- YOUR home town), you decide to take the 50 route and try to get attention and sales by sparking up beef. The public sees right through you and your ghostwriter. Keep dissin me, you niggas is krazy ! I single handedly brought the west coast back & opened the doors for all you punk ass niggas & this how you act.

I aint even talkin shit im stating facts, who is the ONLY rap artist in the past 10 years to go even Platinum from the West besides Dre, 2Pac, & Snoop??? Put ya album out, the whole world will laugh at you niggas. Niggas in the streets keep threating my life but everyday I wake up breathing. I walk witt GOD niggas & I will die before I let another nigga take food from Harlem & remember if you comin' to kill me there is a 50% chance you might not make it out, so COME ON NIGGA !!! IM OUT HERE EVERYDAY !!!

So there it is, "The Black Wallstreet" C E Mothafuckin-O. Niggas tryna sue me cause I switched sites & they can't make no more money off me behind my back AFTER they already quit (if they quit, why they still usin my name and everything I built single-handedly). Give me a reason to write "400 Bars" I'm beggin you niggas. MO Money Mo Problems........ Suck My Dick !!!

Hurricanes in-stores Dec. 26th
"Waist Deep" in theatre's April
"The Doctor's Advocate" in stores 06'
You niggas get ready, matterfact I'll sit & wait for the haters to jump right back on my DICK when my next album drop ha ha ha ha............Aftermath / Black Wall Street motherfucka's

To my fans: if you lookin for me, I'll be on therealblackwallstreet.com............. This will be the last time I say it 1.

I brought the "WEST COAST" back, what YOU do

news 2XL Are Twins In "Development" - December 23, 2005 By : Rud

How often is it you come across a rap duo that are twin brothers? How often is it you come across a rap duo that are twin brothers and from the westcoast? How often is it you come across a rap duo that are twin brothers and from the westcoast and talented!? A rarity? Go figure...! I guess the twin connection means your in for a treat, something different, something fresh, surely that should be clear from the start! We present below a little insight into the group as well as news of a mixtape, hosted and featuring Knoc-Turn'Al. Audio is available below and we will have more from the mixtape soon, take time to read below regarding the the group and what they have so far accomplished.

Emerging from North Hollywood, CA, are two brothers at the tender age of 16 who are steet savvy twin offspring who have seen a lot, done a lot and experienced things people may never and should never in an entire lifetime.

The duo's name, 2XL. 2XL's mission is to shine a beacon from their relatively un-established homeland, locally known as the "GR-8-1-8" (The 818).

Twin brothers Laze (Bennett Armstrong) and Royal City (Justyn Armstrong) have already created an internet following via their official website, 2XLOnline.com which has been heightened by their touring, teen magazine features, local press and the under-ground mixtape circuit. 2XL’s debut album "Neighborhood Rapstars" is testament to a new era in Westcoast Hip-Hop. In such a short time in the industry they have achieved much that some artists would struggle to do in a lifetime in the industry. Having worked with platinum producers like The Co-Stars (Jaheim, Teairra Mari, Sisqo, Lil' Fizz, New Edition, Twista, Jojo), French (Ciara, B2K, Latif, Jody Breeze), The Nimrods (Nelly, Kelly Rowland, Bow Wow, J-Kwon, Teairra Mari), The Craft Productions (Mike Jones) and Howie Hersh (Ja Rule, DMX, Mariah Carey) just to name a few the buzz they have garnered has been hard but fruitful.

With songs already featured in several motion pictures including Barbershop 2, Four Brothers and Like Mike 2, they have established the name 2XL amongst both the music and film industries. The goal of 2XL is relatively uncomplicated, simply to open up the eyes of the general public to help them better understand the teenage lifestyle which exists today: "There are 15 year-olds getting pregnant and 16 year-olds abusing drugs. However hard this may be for adults to face, it’s happening everyday, in every city. Whether we rap about girls, parties or teenage hardships and issues, it’s never fabricated because these are events we've experienced in our life along with millions of other teens." Laze explains.

When asked about their inspirations they quickly respond: "Our mom has been our main inspiration for our music and why we do what we do. She struggled to raise 3 kids on welfare, with cancer, as a single mother." With a deep and sincere love for his mother, Royal explains the 6-inch tattoo of the name Rhea on his forearm: "Rhea is our mom's name, she's means everything to us. My brother and I lived seeing her loose all her hair, fighting for her life in a hospital bed; nobody deserves to go through all that. This tattoo reminds me that our mom’s a soldier and to treat her with respect any time we have disagreements."

When you listen to 2XL these "Neighborhood Rapstars" have an undeniable natural chemistry, bourne, not from practice or training but simply the fact they are twin brothers. It is such a rarity to come across twin brothers who are working hard to make it in this industry as artists however it is equally a pleasure to find two individuals however linked; that put time, effort and all that they are into every track that they make.

Dubcnn as ever have some audio for you to check of the group and also news that they are releasing a mixtape called, "The Development" which features Treacherous/Universal recording artist Knoc-Turn'Al, who also hosts the mixtape, Black Buddafly, and Capitol Records recording artist Aksent. Take some time to visit the 2XL website, 2XLOnline.com and once you have heard the audio below please visit our forum to leave feedback.

2XL - Neighborhood Rapstar
2XL - Get Down (Freestyle)

news Chino XL Has A "Poison Pen" In Hand - December 23, 2005 By : Rud

Chino XL is at last ready to release his long-awaited "Poison Pen" album on January 31st 2006. The inspired two-disc set has been in the works now for nearly two years, in which time, Chino says he has had offers of a major deal from Dr. Dre at his Aftermath label as well as a G-Unit contract offering. He has however opted to take his "Poison Pen" on a free and independent basis. He states that it was a major consideration when releasing the album, which is being released by the Activate label, that he wants to make a passionately artistic statement and refuses to be subjected to any outside censorship or control by major label executives:

"We gave Chino a budget, and let him do his thing. Chino delivered an unfiltered, mindbending stream of consciousness statement built on strong songs and hooks." says Jay Warsinske. (Activate label CEO who is releasing the album worldwide.

The album comprises of 18 tracks (including 2 bonus tracks) and feaures special collaborations with Killah Priest (Wu Tang), The Beatnuts, Proof of D-12 and other special guests. The 2CD package is available in a Limited Edition Silver Metallic Foil Cover, enhanced with extras that include a music video and two hidden bonus tracks, including the dramatic buzz track "Nunca". Each album will be personally autographed with a silver ‘poison’ pen by Chino XL himself. As an extra feature the disc, when inserted to a computer, will open up a plethora of extras that surround Chino’s sometimes controversial lyrics that are quite often the subject of discussion by hiphop fans. The second disc is a Special DJ MIX version of the album by L.A.’s Power 106 Mr. Choc, in which Chino also recounts stories behind the making of the tracks, and the soul searching he did when recording this introspective new album: "This is me at my most honest, most heartfelt and most uncompromising when it comes to what’s on my mind" says Chino.

Comprising of all new songs this dramatic, undiluted and daringly bold, essential album includes "Wordsmith," "Beastin’" featuring Killah Priest - which was produced by Carlos Bess, "Even If It Kills Me" - about the perils of the rap lifestyle, produced by One Eye (Ice Cube, Ruff Ryders), "Don’t Fail Me Now" featuring Psycho Les of the Beatnuts and Sin Gutta - produced by Byrd, "Can’t Change Me," and the leadoff track, "All I Wanna Do...(Bout Nothin’)."

The limited edition signed collectors package is limited to the first run and will be available January 31, 2006. Chino XL says: "I hope that in the New Year, hiphop will regain a certain amount of integrity in the current overly corporate state of affairs. Hopefully, we will be able to focus on the artistry again. The machine should not be larger than the architects who create the music."

As ever we have exclusive audio from the project available below, check it out and leave feedback over at the forum. Additional background, including booking information on Chino XL’s upcoming "Poison Pen" Tour will be available at the Offical Site.

news Long Beach's Iriz Is Ready For "The Moment" - December 22, 2005 By : Rud

Long Beach has been the breeding ground of established hiphop for well over two decades now, 2006 will be no different. Iriz is the talented-seasoned rapper hailing from North Long Beach. With an already packed resume he has worked with Warren G, Bo-Rocc (Dove Shack), Techniec, E-White and often teams up with hometown partner Marc Spitz. Born in 1982 as the second born in a two-parent household, his father was a minister and his Mother took care of the house. His older brother, Co-T, born 3 years earlier, began producing at 15, while Iriz was only 12. They hooked up with Marc Spitz (formerly known as Perfec’) and joined the group Dynamic Certified.

Within the group environment they mastered the craft of production and rhyming and eventually went on to form they’re own crew called, The Skeemadee Gang. Co-T, Iriz, and Marc Spitz were soon fortunate enough to work with Platinum producer and recording artist Warren G. Through that situation, Co-T produced "Do you Wanna Ride?" the first single for G-Funk Records RnB group, Reel Tight and Iriz received his first record deal, at the age of 15. With much to learn about the music industry and come-and-go opportunities, Co-T and Iriz moved on to become independent artists.

With an easy to listen to and understandable delivery combined with an aggresive flow Iriz is in some ways reminiscent of Kurupt im '95. This is showcased on his latest project, a team effort with Co-T, the LP entitled, "The Moment." On the album you can heard Iriz exercising lyrical versatility over various banging Co-T beats. He has plans in the works to record with "New West" artists as well as more mixtapes.

We have been granted the opportunity to let you download 4 tracks off "The Moment" album, those are available below, i advise you check them out as these are varied yet consistently quality material. Please then visit the forum to leave your thoughts. If you want to learn more about Iriz please visit his MySpace page. Look for more news and audio from Iriz in the near future.

Iriz - Thats The Way It Is

news Big Chan Is The "Ghetto Cinderella" - December 20, 2005 By : JustinL

Big Chan, formerly of Doggy's Angels, is now a solo artist with a major deal on the table. Since the last time we heard her skills on their hit single "Baby If Your Ready" Chan has been on a full time grind back in the lab with Snoop Dogg, David Banner, Faith Evans and some of the hottest producers in the game, this album is set to be one of the hottest ever created by a westcoast female artist.

"I've waited so long to finally let people know that I'm the backbone on the west" states Big Chan. The new album is set to be entitled "Ghetto Cinderella: Long Awaited."

Following the success of her ventures with Tha Eastsidaz in 2000, the entrepreneurial-minded Snoop Dogg launched Doggy's Angels on his DoggyStyle label (TVT). A trio of female rappers featuring Big Chan, Doggy's Angels followed much in the footsteps of West Coast G-Funk pioneers such as Dr. Dre and DJ Quik, dropping gangsta-themed rhymes overtop of bass-heavy, mid-tempo, retro-funk-flavored beats. The trio debuted with two 12" singles: "Ridaz With Me" and "Baby If You're Ready", before their debut album "Pleezbalevit" exploded on the street scene in late 2000.

Big Chan has since gone on to add her rich flow to projects with Layzie Bone, Snoop and other megastars as well as embracing the entrepreneurial spirit by gracing the industry with her dazzeling sense of fashion. Her most recent kudo came when she was name "Key Costumer" on MTV's, "Noah's Ark" which airs on that network's new breakout channel "LOGO", in October 2005. Chan is currently developing a clothing line for big and tall women which will be coming soon! "Big girls are beautiful full figured and sexy as well, I'm 6'1 so I know what its like to shop and cant find clothes to accent your body' and that's the market I'm gonna target says Chan' my line will cater to those women with high end fashions that we can afford!"

When asked if he was going to be keeping the album more Bay oriented, Balance responded:

"Mainly, but the music sounds nation wide. I'm tryin to compete with the Juelz Santana’s, Saigon’s, Bishop Lamont’s, Glasses Malone’s."

Balance also told Dubcnn about some new songs he's been working on:

"I just did a song with Scipio called "New West," supposed to have all the New West cats. E-A-Ski’s album. Not too much. I don't wear myself out, feel me? I think that’s the number one problem Hip Hop faces."

It doesn't stop there, Balance is going to be writing a movie slated for release sometime in 2007. We asked where Balance would be in 5 years, he states:

"Screenwriting for my 1st movie called “Twelve.” [It’s] about a bank robbery going wrong...I don't wanna give the plot away, but it’s crazy. More than just a bank robbery."

Now onto the audio, Balance hit us off with a clean version of his new track, "Gotta Get It" produced by Oakland vet, E-A-Ski. Check it out below:

Balance - Gotta Get It (Prod. E-A-Ski).

news Schwarzenegger Denies Tookie Clemency - December 12, 2005 By : Nima

It was just reported that less than 12 hours before the execution Stanley "Tookie" Williams, Governor Arnold Schwarzengger announced that he would not grant him clemency. The full press article is below:

"Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Monday refused to spare the life of Stanley Tookie Williams, the founder of the murderous Crips gang who awaited execution after midnight in a case that stirred debate over capital punishment and the possibility of redemption on death row.

Schwarzenegger was unswayed by pleas from Hollywood stars and petitions from more than 50,000 people who said that Williams had made amends during more than two decades in prison by writing a memoir and children's books about the dangers of gangs.

"After studying the evidence, searching the history, listening to the arguments and wrestling with the profound consequences, I could find no justification for granting clemency," Schwarzenegger said, less than 12 hours before the execution. "The facts do not justify overturning the jury's verdict or the decisions of the courts in this case."

Schwarzenegger could have commuted the death sentence to life in prison without parole. With a reprieve from the federal courts considered unlikely, Williams, 51, was set to die by injection at San Quentin State Prison early Tuesday for murdering four people in two 1979 holdups.

Williams' fate became one of the nation's biggest death-row cause celebres in decades.

Prosecutors and victims' advocates contended Williams was undeserving of clemency from the governor because he did not own up to his crimes and refused to inform on fellow gang members. They also argued that the Crips gang that Williams co-founded in Los Angeles in 1971 is responsible for hundreds of deaths, many of them in battles with the rival Bloods for turf and control of the drug trade.

Williams stood to become the 12th California condemned inmate executed since lawmakers reinstated the death penalty in 1977 after a brief hiatus.

Williams was condemned in 1981 for gunning down a clerk in a convenience store holdup and a mother, father and daughter in a motel robbery weeks later. Williams claimed he was innocent.

The last time a California governor granted clemency was in 1967, when Ronald Reagan spared a mentally infirm killer. Schwarzenegger - a Republican who has come under fire from members of his own party as too accommodating to liberals - rejected clemency twice before during his two years in office.

Just before the governor announced his decision on clemency, the 9th U.S. Circuit of Appeals denied Williams' request for a reprieve, saying among other things that there was no "clear and convincing evidence of actual innocence."

In his last-ditch appeal, Williams claimed that he should have been allowed to argue at his trial that someone else killed one of the four victims, and that shoddy forensics connected him to the other killings.

Williams was convicted of killing Yen-I Yang, 76, Tsai-Shai Chen Yang, 63, and Yu-Chin Yang Lin, 43, at a Los Angeles motel the family owned, and Albert Owens, 26, a 7-Eleven clerk gunned down in Whittier.

Among the celebrities who took up Williams' cause were Jamie Foxx, who played the gang leader in a cable movie about Williams; rapper Snoop Dogg, himself a former Crip; Sister Helen Prejean, the nun depicted in "Dead Man Walking"; Bianca Jagger; and former "M*A*S*H" star Mike Farrell. During Williams' 24 years on death row, a Swiss legislator, college professors and others nominated him for the Nobel Prizes in peace and literature.

"If Stanley Williams does not merit clemency," defense attorney Peter Fleming Jr. asked, "what meaning does clemency retain in this state?"

The impending execution resulted in feverish preparations over the weekend by those on both sides of the debate, with the California Highway Patrol planning to tighten security outside the prison, where hundreds of protesters were expected.

A group of about three dozen death penalty protesters were joined by the Rev. Jesse Jackson as they marched across the Golden Gate Bridge after dawn Monday en route to the gates of San Quentin, where they were expected to rally with hundreds of people.

At least publicly, the person apparently least occupied with his fate seemed to be Williams himself.

"Me fearing what I'm facing, what possible good is it going to do for me? How is that going to benefit me?" Williams said in a recent interview. "If it's my time to be executed, what's all the ranting and raving going to do?" "

news M. Anthony: Fresh R&B From The I.E. [Audio] - December 8, 2005 By : Nima

Reaffirming the fact that the I.E. (Inland Empire) is a hot breeding ground for burgeoning new talent, R&B artist, M. Anthony is prepared to step out from the background and take his place in the forefront of the I.E.'s progression to the mainstream. With a style and flow influenced by artists in every genre imaginable as well as the world around him, M. Anthony's craft may be considered a "rollercoaster ride" by some: One minute a heartfelt ballad has the ladies attention, before he transcends to a party anthem where you're compelled to grab something soft and hit the dance floor, while bringing it back home to his West Coast upbringing and the world outside his window.

As a prelude to the album he will be dropping next year, M. Anthony is gearing up to release his R&B mixtape project entitled: "The Introduction", his personal introduction to the people. Although this release may be a standard release to familiarize himself with the listeners, he is not content with keeping things ordinary. He will be releasing a "Reloaded" version of the mixtape, complete with all new original tracks as well as a enhanced CD with exclusive video footage and other digital goodies.

I have two exclusive tracks off the mixtape for ya'll. The first is entitled "Truth Hurts" in which M. Anthony sings over Dr. Dre's "Nuthing but a G thang" hit in a song about trying to have a drink while dealing with your "significant other" constantly in your ear. The second is entitled: "Trust Me" which was a track produced by Crown City Productions.

M. Anthony - Truth Hurts (over "Nuthin' But A G Thang")

Only 5 days left until Stanley "Tookie" Williams execution, and the HipHop world is in an uproar. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said Friday he would meet December 8 in a private hearing with Williams' lawyers, Los Angeles County prosecutors and others involved, to consider Tookie's clemency.

Schwarzenegger has the authority to commute a death sentence to life without parole, but he is not obligated to hold a hearing.

Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Daz & Kurupt recently got together for the Battlecat-produced track "Real Soon", a dedication to Tookie, and many other important figures have been speaking out against the execution of Tookie, who became an anti-gang activist while in prison and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

"Redemption: Hip-Hop United To Save Stan "Tookie" Williams" is a new compilation, put together by the Soul Snatcherz, which features material from WC, Kam, Stic.Man (Dead Prez), Paris, Squeak Ru, RBX, Kid Frost, Shorty, Boo Yaa Tribe, Tank, The Frontline, Bicasso and many more. As you already know, the adress for the latest on the Tookie case is SaveTookie.org, if you haven't signed the petition yet, make sure you do. Selfmade is the collaboration of Eastwood (BWS), Young Cutty & Livewire, they have already released 2 Free mixtapes through Eastwood's Offical Website. Over the years Livewire has created his style and honed his skills to give himself and edge and lyrical ability that others may lack.

Having been working on music since 5th grade and being influenced by people around him such as Macadoshis (2Pac's Thug Life group) whom he lived with, Livewire is now ready to use his talents to prepare his debut album, "Live & Direct," which he hopes to release in the second quarter of 2006.

"Live & Direct" is set to feature in-house production and up and comers including Face-Off from Kaos Recordz, DJ Chris Paul & Knocademus of Tha Network. Guests on the album will include, Eastwood, Roscoe, Bizzle, Tri-Star, Tone, Slo, Dizzle, B.Eazy, LostSouL, Micalobe & Yukmouth.

With the album will come a DVD trailer for a DVD Livewire is producing, "Live-TV," which will feature Kurupt, Roscoe, Eastwood, The Game, Yukmouth, Battlecat, Loon, PaC-TeN, Dynamic Certified, Techniec, GailGotti, Master P, Lil Romeo, NBA & NFL players, Eye Candy and much more! As if that wasn't enough he is also in a 'supergroup' called S.M.A (Selfmade Anterazh) which consists of Eastwood, Tri-Star, Tone, Livewire, YoungCutty & Slo Stallone.

His Official Site is almost finished and you can check out his MySpace Page here. We have been handed an exclusive new track titled, "Mystery" which features Eastwood and Young Cutty, check it out below and drop feedback here.
