YOUNG BUCK (March
2007) | Interview By: Roccett
Dubcnn once again has done something very few outlets that can - we got Young
Buck back in the interview hot seat [last
inteview in October 2006 with 50 Cent] - this time though we got L.A's own
CTE signed rising star Roccett to pose the questions on our behalf. We get the
low-down on "Buck The World," get the truth on recent delays and push backs,
talk about his collaborations on the release and even get his verdict on the
50 Cent & Cam'ron beef - in fact live in the interview he calls Jim Jones.
Young Buck tells us about signing C-BO & Tha Outlawz to Cashville Records,
gives his thoughts on the "Hip Hop Is Dead" issue and also tells youngsters to
P.U.S.H. in this world exclusive.
As ever you can read
or watch this
exclusive Dubcnn interview and we urge you to leave feedback
on our forums or email them to

Dubcnn: What it do man, you know who it is, Young Roccett homie, over here
with Young Buck, G-Unit & CTE getting down. Check it out you on Dubcnn right
now homie, we gonna holla at the big homie for all you fans out there who
wanna know the info, he finna give
you the real talk! So lets jump off right here, i'm reading this now man, so
bear with us - its raw and uncut!
Take that niggas!
Dubcnn: People wanna know why your album been pushed back so much?
Man basically cause, for me, my prescience was so strong in the Fourth Quarter
when I was due top drop - I was on the 'Pac album, Trick Daddy album, Money In
The Bank circulating - I can lay bare - when you got a nigga like Jay-Z
dropping its gone wait around and Young Jeezy coming through
and so I just moved out the way of that raft and left an open lane for me - so
now they got they focus on me at this point and that's for the labels and also
a clear lane for the fans and shit, so I pushed the shit back
Dubcnn: Now the album was gonna be called "Fuck The World" did you change
it?
Yea for sure...they wouldn't let me name the shit "Fuck The World"
Dubcnn: They tripping off that?
Yea they went to tripping, a muthafucka told me it sits better on the Wal-Mart
shelves as "Buck The World" - they make it so a muthafucka cant go against
what they say but that's real so - but "Buck The World" is more me anyway, I
feel it is what it is - I feel a lot of niggas is against the movement, what a
nigga doing, so in a sense that kind of shit overpowers the movement at this
time and makes it perfect for my album to be called "Buck The World" cause it
feels like i'm against the muthafucking world but the world is routing for me,
but you got a piece of the world wanna see him lose - so
the album is dedicated to that piece that wanna see me lose!
Dubcnn: Yea fuck the haters man, real niggas stick together!
Hating suckers! Get your money, get to the money niggas! Red and Blue make
Green ain't that what they say!
Dubcnn: Lets talk about the current single "Get Buck" - did Timbo
[Timbaland] produce that?
Na, Polow, yea Polow Da Don - that record right there is the shit is all I can
tell a nigga, it got a lot of
energy, its a south record but at the end of day anyone can fuck with that
record, its club, its a record that schools across America, every band, high
school - muthafuckas gonna fuck with that cause of the horns and trumpets in
the beat - but for the music part i'm speaking on a lot of time, a lot of
muthafuckas against, like I was saying, hold a nigga down, push a nigga back
and if you listen to the record - its okay, I bounce back, watch me do my
thing! That record right there is what we call a No Brainer - and I keep
telling 50 [Cent] i'm fucking with you on the In Da Club shit, i'm gonna knock
this shit out the box!
Dubcnn: What's the final release date for the album man?
March 20, its a done deal, go get it, "Buck The World" and then I tell
muthafuckas in a minute - get my bootleg - straight up - I want to secure your
thoughts nigga - get my bootleg - cause I know who gets my bootleg, gonna buy
my album too! I don't suggest niggas don't get a bootleg, cause that's people
who scared they record wont sell - people who get my bootleg are the
muthafuckas that's gonna buy my album!
Dubcnn: Street Niggas ain't never worried about that!
Na they ain't worried man, yea!
Dubcnn: Who on the album and who are the producers?
Man, I got a lot of features on this record - I got so many that I had to
combine them. I got records with me, T.I.. and Young Jeezy - the Four Kings
shit, Pimp C on the hook - a record with me, Snoop and Trick Daddy together -
Nuts! I got some shit with me, Bun B and 8Ball & MJG together - I even got me
a Linkin Park!
Dubcnn: Okay Okay!
I'm going hard, but the difference is I ain't going to Linkin Park where its
hard for me to go into the rock world at this point but what's so fucking
crazy they wasn't scared to come into my world, I represent the poor people of
the projects, them niggas didnt have a problem making it happen - shout out to
Chester Bennington - he really came through, that's gonna be my third single
that shit so hood - watch this!
Dubcnn: That show your talent man, not everyone can do shit like that!
Yea, man, its serious
Dubcnn: You know niggas like controversy man, so for the fans that wanna
know the business, we gonna ask some real live questions on this shit, hood
all year cuz - so it says right here man - What's up with the 50/Cam'ron beef
and Dipset shit - niggas wanna hear from your mouth!
Man, its simple, imma show you what's up with it bro, I ain't tripping, I
ain't fucking with it...lemme see *reaches for his cell phone - scrolls
through and places a call* lets see if Jim Jones, that's my nigga
*Phone rings....Voicemail Full*
That's Birdgang, my nigga Jim Jones - I was finna call and let you see what I
feel about it and ask a nigga what your doing tonight, where we kicking it
at?!
Dubcnn: That answer everything then right there man!
Yea it answer it all cause, I don't get to the booth...you know how I get
down, if its real then I fuck with it, if it ain't there bro then...that's why
I ain't fucking with these niggas with they diss shit they doing. You wont buy
this record and hear any shit towards The Game, Fat Joe, Jadakiss cause to me
I feel like for one, my report card match what i'm feeling and law enforcement
becomes a factor for me when i'm doing it like that and outside of that, this
shit is Hip-Hop and that's the lane they choose
to push and that's the line my niggas eat they ass up on as far as 50, Banks
and everybody else and I know the position I play and its hard for a nigga
like me who fucks with this street shit for real to keep pushing the line and
bump heads with these niggas and it might shake for real
Dubcnn: That's the game real niggas play, we ain't gonna talk all this
cause when we see a nigga it might crack.
Yea it might crack! I'm getting straight to it, it leaves room for them niggas
to do it, its business too! That's how it goes down with me - you know! Niggas
know, I catch a few of them, I just smoked a blunt with Jadakiss yesterday -
come see a nigga bro!
Dubcnn: You fuck with my nigga and my nigga tells me, there's a lot of
weenie ass rappers talking shit my nigga, acting like they be doing...niggas
don't be knowing that one nigga in jail tell they whole jail rep!
Yea behind the walls man, you hear everything! You know the truth!
Dubcnn: This official real nigga right here, this is my first time getting
to chop it up, but from the nigga report card it come all the way to Cali
from, where i'm from - a real nigga!
Yea, and that's why I tell all them niggas around my way that swang them rags
- if you ain't coming off with nothing nigga - ain't none of the shit
official, I don't give a fuck where you from or who you is!
Dubcnn: This real nigga T.V. right now, Dubcnn! This ain't no regular ass
interview right here!
Yea get this!!
Dubcnn: We should pay niggas for it but since we on the low lets give
niggas some game right now!

Dubcnn: Now what's up with Cashville Records and how you finna work that?
Man, I ain't playing with you niggas with this shit! That's my focus, i'm
using my album, I got my first group, they come from my city, 615 - as a group
that's myself, Hi-C, Lil Murda D-Tay and they make up the group 615! I just
signed C-Bo and man, he ran around legends, been around niggas like Tupac and
having a nigga like that wanting you to be a part of what he doing shows the
world that you got destiny for you, niggas like that had true destiny, left
this world and man, that's the reason for me fucking with 'Bo outside of him
just having talent - and me and Tha Outlawz man, i'm working with them too.
Me, 615, C-Bo and Tha Outlawz at this point and there ain't no muthafucking
sit home for the distribution or nothing, I named my label Cashville Records
so I could go outside of Interscope...G-Unit South, if niggas here that,
that's the movement - i'm G-Unit and i'm from
the south so that's why - I can't make G-Unit South Records and then try and
get a deal with Def Jam - Jimmy Iovine ain't gonna let you have the brand and
me!
It's brand new man! I ain't playing with no nigga with this shit bro! I feel
like only way a muthafucka, a fan of the muthafucka is gonna be a fan of
niggas like me any of these rap niggas music is if they can pull something out
of these verses we put out and say they going through it, they know someone
going through it or they don't wanna go through it - the only way to do that
is to base your music on real life!
I been going through a lot of shit in the public eye, the Vibe Awards, nigga
going to jail and whatever, I go through it daily - that shit makes my music
more real and that's what a lot of niggas we love and that's the trend we do,
whether its Tupac, Biggie and even 50 - we know he was shot 9 times and Em
[Eminem] we know he has a daughter named Hailey - any nigga who involves they
real life we grow to love - and i'm one of them niggas!
I got the same politically, revolutionary shit driven in me, I must don't have
a family or a mother that was a Black Panther, i'm just a nigga whose aware
and the knowledge and i'm a second breed - that made it - threes a lot more
me's but they ain't made it here. I'm just one that's squeezed his way and
blessed to make it here.
Dubcnn: That's a nigga talking from the heart right here! I'm telling you,
this ain't everyday shit you getting to see - emotions and shit!
It's a real interview man, niggas do interviews, they don't get it real! -
I'll give it to you like that!
Dubcnn: What you feel about the whole "Hip Hop Is Dead" thing?
That's a bunch of bullshit - I tell a nigga to his grill - but at the end of
the day I don't know what Nas' true meaning for saying that is meaning - you
can't be a nigga that can strike out at homeboy and say "Fuck Nas," because by
saying that he can have it own meanings and opinion and like an asshole,
everybody got one so I give a nigga room! For me though, Hip-Hop is only dead
for the niggas that's broke, Hip-Hop is only dead for those in the game that
it ain't working for. It's working for me, it brought my moms out the
projects, it brought me out the projects, its doing a lot!
Dubcnn: You help a lot of niggas too man...
Yea I put a lot in and I take care of the penitentiary and that's what a lot
of niggas don't do - I really play my part on they behalf and for me its
different, Hip-Hop allowed me to be...a lot of the man, it didn't make me the
man I am, but it allowed me to expand my gangsta to niggas and damn sure made
me be able to walk around and spend of this money!
Dubcnn: That's what its about! What you think about the kids that see
niggas like you on T.V or me and my homies, or Jeezy on T.V. and idolise a
nigga but some kids don't live that but some that do - what you wanna tell
them that really wanna get there and be a gangsta cause niggas don't know that
to be gangsta you ain't gotta tell no one, its your demeanour, your look.
Yea its your demeanour, your look yea! I tell young ones like this man you
gotta get established with a higher power before you do whatever and I say
whatever cause a lot of people believe in other than Jesus Christ so whoever
you believe in who you consider your higher power, establish yourself with him
- just don't establish yourself with the Devil, cause as far as i'm concerned,
that's the worst motherfucker in the world and period - establish yourself
with your higher power and then take a step forward.
You tell a nigga whatever you wanna say "Keep rapping and do all this and try
and make it happen" - na man, it don't work like that; you gotta establish
with whoever you believe in, cause with all these bumpy roads your gonna go
through your gonna have to maintain to make a situation happen and you gonna
need that guidance more than anything and from there you work the goal!
I tell a nigga P.U.S.H, four letters, P.U.S.H. - "Pray Until Something
Happens" and you be aight! Straight Up!
Dubcnn: That's all the questions for today man, nigga appreciate you man
Anyday man, I fuck with ya'll niggas, man, holla! Real street nigga right here
*points toward Roccett* we really not playing, this interview is not no nigga
who sitting here asking questions who ain't experienced the life, he
understand it, live it and see it and embrace it and yea its an honour for me
to chop it up with niggas like that cause I really respect a nigga that come
from that and be playing they part and be for real and be moving in the
direction we moving
Dubcnn: This rap shit ain't easy man, nigga tryin!
You hear that? Nigga trying! That means this nigga be...
Dubcnn: PUSHING!
PUSHING! That it man, til something happens! You just been blessed!
Dubcnn: Young Buck nigga, Dubcnn, you know what it is, the big home get
your shit together!!
Yea nigga! Money!! *Comes to camera and spins YB Pinky Ring*
