Fedie Demarco Responds To Soulja Boy - June 30, 2008 By : Eddie Gurrola

We've got an exclusive for you today from Fedie Demarco, Ice-T's protege out of Watts. If you watched Ice-T's Video Response To Soulja Boy, you'd remember that Iceberg said he wouldn't respond on wax to Soulja, and that he'd let his lil homies do it.
This is that record! Fittingly titled "Eat A D*ck," Fedie addresses Soulja Boy's attitude over a hard-hitting instrumental. Check out the record below.
Fedie Demarco - Eat A D*ck (Soulja Boy Response)
Shouts out to DJ Ace for hooking us up with the track! Also make sure to check out Fedie Demarco on Myspace. This song will be available on DJ Ace's "The Ringleader" mixtape. "Rhyme Poetic Mafia Presents The Ringleader Files" is also coming soon on RPM Music Group/Final Level.
Stay tuned to Dubcnn for the latest new music.

They picked a new beat for the remix, and Game drops two new fresh verses. This remix is also the first time we're hearing The Game & Young Buck on a track together since Buck splitting from G-Unit.

Weekend Audio Vol. 9: Chino XL, Juice, K. Dot, Termanology - June 28, 2008 By : Nima

Once again it's time for another edition of dubcnn's Weekend Audio! This week went by so fast it feels like the last Weekend Audio just dropped yesterday, but don't worry we've got enough dope new music for ya'll, as usual! We've got a healthy mix this week, from Chino XL's new single, some new Termanology, to a Juice and Crooked I collaboration.
Let's get things going with a new Chino XL solo track off his album "The Secret". The production was provided by super producer DJ Khalil, you might know the beat from the unreleased Xzibit track "On My Way" which leaked.
The beat was too dope to stay unreleased and Chino definitely did his thing on it, it's called "I'm Coming" and is set to appear on "The Secret", which will be dropping on Machete/Universal Records this summer. Check it out:
Chino XL - I'm Coming (Prod. by DJ Khalil)
We're gonna follow up this high energy track with another one of the same caliber, this time by Black Wall Street rapper Juice on a collaboration with Long Beach's own Crooked I. From what we were told, The Game is also going to record a verse to the final version of the track, but this is what we have for now. The track is called "I Do It" and is a potential album track for Juice's debut solo project. You can also expect to hear Juice on the upcoming "You Know What It Is Vol. 5" mixtape that's coming very soon.
Juice - I Do It (ft. Crooked I)
Next up is a track somebody who's been present in most of the Weekend Audio updates so far: Termanology. That only goes to show how tough his grind is, blasting out quality material on a weekly basis. The joint we have for you today is called "Talking To God" and finds Term pondering on current issues going on the Game including Kanye West comparing Soulja Boy to Nas or Puff Daddy putting Lil Wayne on Biggie's level. His flow is on point as always and he picked the classic "Sean Carter" intro beat to rap over . Check out "Talking To God":
Termanology - Talking To God
Let's get to a new mixtape joint by Top Dawg Ent's own K. Dot. Through his "A Milli" remix, he already show us how he can ride a Lil Wayne track, and to further prove his point he's followed it up with another joint over a "Carter 3" beat, the Maestro-produced "3 Peat" intro track to be exact. First, for those who missed K.Dot's current smash single "Hater Love" produced by Cool & Dre, click here to catch up on that. Okay, now proceed to the "3 Peat" remix, shouts out to DJ Ill Will:
K. Dot - 3 Peat (Remix)
The next track we have for you is by up and coming female MC from Philadelphia Trish Barnes. You heard her with Tekneek aka Tek Nizzle on "Neighborhood Celeb" last week and now we're back with a Trish collabo with Gillie Da Kid, Ab-Liva (Re-Up Gang) and Marsha Ambrosia of Floetry. They collectively flow over Snoop Dogg's classic "G'z And Hustlaz" track, this is something for both you West Coasters and East Coasters. Philly's in the house:
Trish Barnes - Nightryders (ft. Gillie Da Kid, Ab-Liva & Marsha Ambrosia)
Last but not least is a joint by Orange County artist Thrasher. You might know him through his single "Fly Kicks" which was getting decent airplay on Power 106. Thrasher is currently working on his album "The One", which is going to feature production from DJ Khalil, Warryn Campbell, Arkitekt amongst others. He's also recently been in the studio with The Game. The track we have for you today is the title track off his album, "The One", produced by Warryn "Baby Dubb" Campbell. Check it out below:
Thrasher - The One (Prod. by Warryn Campbell)
We're done for now, we hope you enjoyed this edition of Weekend Audio!
Before we go, here's an exclusive West Fest Tour picture of Domino and Snoop Dogg on stage with Warren G in the back. True Long Beach legends, check out the picture: click here.Discuss This Topic

Terrace Martin Talks To Dubcnn - Exclusive Interview! - June 25, 2008 By : Nima

Dubcnn had the chance to sit down with the multi-talented Terrace Martin to discuss his upcoming "Locke High" street album amongst other things. The producer/rapper talks to us about his "Bounce, Rock, Skate" single with Snoop Dogg, Kurupt & DJ Quik (video is coming soon by the way), as well as other highlights off his new project.
He tells us about focusing on positivity instead of dwelling on negativity, why he thinks music needs a band-aid right now and he describes a typical studio session with Snoop Dogg.
We then touch on the difference between beat makers and producers, how it feels to work with the legends that he looks up to such as Quincy Jones or Teddy Riley. Terrace tells us about his time at Locke High, the school to which his new street album is dedicated to, and why he wants to change its image.
We end off the interview talking about the plague of MySpace rappers, the lost art of music and with a few shout outs to Problem, T-Lee and Uncle Chucc, who you can expect to hear on "Locke High".

The Ice T / Soulja Boy "Beef" - A Quick Recap - June 24, 2008 By : Nima

The good folks here on dubcnn had decided to stay away from the widely publicized feud going on between Hip-Hop legend Ice T and youngster Soulja Boy. We basically figured this was of no relevance to our readers and there was no need to post about it on the site.
However, as this "beef" has gone on to its 4th round as of today, and considering the numerous emails we have been getting about it, we decided to give you a quick recap of how the whole thing started up until its current point. This does not change the fact - at all - that this "beef" is pointless.
What triggered off the conflict originally was an interlude that Ice T did for Black Ice's mixtape "Urban Legend" by DJ Cisco where he was asked about the state of Hip-Hop right now. The Iceberg proceded to vent off some steam and said Soulja Boy "single handedly killed Hip-Hop" as well as telling him to "eat a d-ck". Check that out by clicking here.
Shortly after the interlude was uploaded on YouTube, Soulja Boy took it on himself to respond back with a video statement, where he repeatedly brings up Ice T's age and the fact that the former "Cop Killer" now plays a cop on TV. Check that out by clicking here.
Honestly, I thought this was going to be the end of it. I figured they both said what they had to say and I didn't think Ice T would resort to YouTubing and dissing over the internet, but I was obviously wrong. Iceberg released a video of him standing in his house where he spoke some more, appologized to Soulja Boy on one hand for sh-tting on a 17-year old but at the same time insisted on how garbage his music was. At the end of the video Ice's son also makes a quick appearances. Check that out by clicking here.
Now the latest in all this drama is a new cartoon (!) released by Soulja Boy dissing Ice T, where he clowns him for being a former breakdancer, showing clips of old videos and doing a little "rap". It's worth watching for comedy purposes alone, it still amazes me what the rap game has come to today. Check that out by clicking here.
At least, ten years from now, we'll still have some classic Ice T albums to throw in the deck, regardless of this "beef"!Discuss This Topic

Meech Wells is gearing up to release the third installment of his ever-popular "New West World Order" street album series. Today we have a freestyle from Young Joker that, although not set to appear on "New West World Order Volume 3," has been released to continue buzz building towards the projects release in the next month.

"New West World Order Volume 3" already has a stellar guest list lined up including appearances from Lil Wayne, Daz & Kurupt, 40 Glocc, Stat Quo, Jodi Breeze and a host of usual suspects.
In related news Meech Wells wanted to inform you that he and Young Joker are set to have a track featured on a new TV Show entitled the Chef Jeff Project. The new reality show - by Meech Wells' brother in law Jeff Henderson - has been made off the back of his best selling book "Cooked" which is currently being made into a film starring Will Smith and is due for release in 2009.

San Quinn, Big Rich & Boo Banga - SF Anthem [Video] - June 21, 2008 By : Nima

Ever since the song "San Francisco Anthem" leaked late last year, fans have been waiting for San Quinn, Big Rich and Boo Banga to release a video to the Traxamillion produced heatrock. This has been one of the hardest Bay Area anthems to ever come out and it was only right to release a video that would do it justice, which is why it took so long.
It's finally here though, this week the video to the "SF Anthem" was released online and the video is expected to hit music video channels within the next couple of weeks.
If you're from the Bay, this song is for you. If you're not, this will make you want to visit the Bay. Go ahead and watch the "SF Anthem" video below and download the song as well if you don't have it:

Weekend Audio Vol. 8: Nipsey Hussle, The Game, Planet Asia - June 21, 2008 By : Nima

Another week has passed and as we have been doing for the past eight weeks, it's about time for another Weekend Audio edition on dubcnn. This week we have a couple brand new heaters as well as a few tracks that came out recently that might have been slept on, including Nipsey Hussle & The Game, DJ Muggs & Planet Asia and Robin Thicke amongst others.
Let's blast off with with a new Nipsey Hussle joint. The South Central rapper literally emerged out of nowhere and has been creating a buzz through his single "Let's Roll" with The Game and his "Bullets Ain't Got No Name" mixtape.
The Game recently went on the air on Power 106 and gave it up to Nipsey, calling him the next rapper to come up from the West Coast. It looks like Game is really endorsing Nipsey right about now, as he also jumped on a remix to the title track off the "Bullets Ain't Got No Name" mixtape, which you can download below:
Nipsey Hussle - Bullets (Remix) (ft. The Game)
The next track we have for you today is the lead single off DJ Muggs and Planet Asia collaboration album "Pain Language", called "9MM". The b-side to the single, "That's What It Is", was featured in an earlier Weekend Audio update. "9MM" is another raw joint that I'm sure all the Soul Assassins heads are going to be feeling. Planet Asia and Muggs have sounds that really compliments each other, check out "9MM" below:
DJ Muggs vs Planet Asia - 9MM
Let's get to a new track by producer/rapper Tekneek aka Tek Nizzle of the Tangled Thoughts. The Philly native who moved out to California two years ago to release the "Philly 2 Cali" with his group under the supervision of Kurupt has been working hard, supplying beats to a wide range of artists in the game. He's currently back in Philadelphia working on some solo tracks, one of which he sent us exclusively to put out. The track is called "Neighborhood Celeb" and finds him collaborating with female MC Trish Barnes. Check it out:
Tekneek - Neighborhood Celeb (ft. Trish Barnes)
Next up is a new Spider Loc single called "Chillax", off the Loc's upcoming street album "The N-gga U Love To Hate", in stores next Tuesday, June 24th. Spider Loc has got people talking right now with his recent diss track to Young Buck, following Buck's "F-ck G-Unit" statement at a concert. What we have for you right now is on a different note though, this is a laid back track called "Chillax" to which Spider is also planning to shoot a video. To listen to the track, click below:
Spider Loc - Chillax
One of the biggest talents to emerge on the East Coast - scrap that - in Hip-Hop as a whole, has been Termanology. The Latino rapper from Massachusetts has been endorsed by DJ Premier and has through his numerous mixtapes proven his gift of gab. While he's putting the finishing touches on his debut LP "Hood Politics" (producers include DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock, Alchemist, Havoc, Buckwild and Nottz), he has leaked a new remix to "Welcome To The Machine", with Lil Fame of M.O.P. and Easy Money:
Termanology - Welcome To The Machine (ft. Lil Fame & Easy Money)
Last but not least is a track that could very well become the summer hit of 2008. I know this has been out for a few weeks, but I figured some of you might not be familiar with it yet so I decided to drop it with the Weekend Audio. I'm talking about Robin Thicke's new single "Magic". The talented singer has been steadily on the come up since his smash hit "Lost Without You" last year, recently also blessing Lil Wayne's album on "Tie My Hands", arguably the best track on "Carter 3". His new song "Magic" is not to be slept on, check it out:
Robin Thicke - Magic
We're done for this week, come back next weekend for more Weekend Audio! Discuss This Topic

E-Knoc's Back And He's Brought "Trouble Music" - June 21, 2008 By : Rud

It's been three years since we first introduced you to Los Angeles native E-Knoc. Since then he has been a Dubcnn regular, releasing his debut street album The Promise Land as well as gaining widespread acclaim with his popular FryDay Freestyle Series. If you missed any of these you need to check them out!
It's been six months since we last heard off E-Knoc however he hasn't been idle, he's been working on his follow up street album which we have been presented with for Free Download.
The "Trouble Music" EP is the long awaited sophomore release and features production from Sega, IIRaw, T Money, John Doe and Curious Beats.
"Trouble Music" is another seamless, versatile body of work thought provoking lyrics and a blend of soulful cuts ("Never Get Over You") as well as hard hitting beats ("Real N-gga Sh-t"). With this release E-Knoc definitely shows that he is one of a talented group of young MC’s coming out of the West that the industry needs to take note of - in fact few are more well rounded and have more commercial viability than this 23 year old.
A modest 8 songs, the EP manages to cover a tremendous amount of ground in such a short time span. As E-Knoc spits potent, well delivered rhymes in his raspy, rich, tenor over solid production that ranges from fly to grim. No two songs sound alike as E-Knoc further proves his point that he is a force to be reckoned with in the New Era of rap music.
"This is something the game needs right now. Dope music from a new perspective. I’m proud of how the EP came out" explains E-Knoc.

Enjoy the new music and drop your feedback on the Dubcc Forums. Also take some time to check out past E-Knoc news and music here.Discuss This Topic

The Game Disses G-Unit, Defends Buck On New Song - June 20, 2008 By : Nima

Everybody was waiting for it ever since Young Buck announced his departure from G-Unit: Young Buck and The Game reconnecting and uniting. It looks like the predictions were correct, because after the drama around the leaked phone conversation between 50 Cent and Young Buck and Young Buck's response track, The Game has released his own remix of the song where he takes Buck's side and attacks 50 Cent and the rest of G-Unit. It's only a matter of time before we hear Buck and Game on the same song. Naturally this is the talk of the internet right now! After repeatedly stating that there would be no more G-Unit disses, it looks like Buck's fate has made Game go at it again.
We have the "Taped Conversation" remix right here for you to check out:
The Game - The Taped Conversation (Remix) (G-Unit Diss)
At the same time, G-Unit rapper Spider Loc has released a track called "Lean On Me", where he takes shots at Young Buck. Also featured on the track is West Coast Ruff Ryder Kartoon, check it out below:

Missing in attendance last night were Domino, Goldie Loc, and MC Eiht. But that didn't stop anyone else from putting on a good show. Kam had to perform solo, but still held it down. Check out the full, in depth review by clicking the link below.

Young Buck Responds To 50 Cent's Taped Conversation - June 18, 2008 By : Nima

This could very well be a contender for fasted response to a diss ever. Barely 24 hours after 50 Cent leaked a phone conversation between himself and former G-Unit aritst Young Buck, where Buck has a breakdown, cries and asks 50 for help (click here if you missed it). Reactions ranged from shock to laughter to pitty, but nobody expected Young Buck to react so quickly.
Apparently, the conversation that was leaked is from about a year ago when Buck and 50 had their first conflict. Buck just leaked a track called "The Taped Conversation", where he responds to 50 Cent and reacts to the tape.
The song has been getting very positive feedback and it looks like the public feels with Buck, as that was a very private conversation that was aired cold-bloodedly. Make up your own mind on the situation, go ahead and check out Young Buck's "The Taped Conversation" below:
Young Buck - The Taped Conversation (50 Cent Diss)
It will be interesting to see how this develops. A Buck & Game collaboration seems almost mandatory! We'll keep you up to date...Discuss This Topic

Tech N9ne Readies The Anticipated "Killer" Album For July - June 18, 2008 By : Nima

Tech N9ne is without a doubt one of the most creative artists active in Hip-Hop. The Kansas City rapper has built up such a cult following through the last years that he doesn't even need to rely on mainstream promo to make sure his releases do well.
His upcoming solo album, "Killer", might look like a more commercial attempt at first glance, but don't be mistaken - Tech N9ne is keeping it gutter and true to his "Strange Music" style on his new LP. The double CD album is currently set to drop in two weeks, on July 1st to be exact.
The features list on "Killer" is very impressive. From Hip-Hop legends like Ice Cube and Scarface to current artists like Mistah FAB and Paul Wall to Rock & Roll mashups with (hed) p.e., Tecca Nina really put in work on this album. A first taste of the album was released a few weeks ago in the single "Let's Go", featuring Mistah FAB & Kutt Calhoun.
Incase you haven't heard it yet, check it out below:

To show his appreciation for the late great 2Pac, Long Beach's own Crooked I has sent over a track called "Dear 'Pac", a dedication that he recorded over 2Pac's "Str8 Ballin'" instrumental. "
Check out "Dear 'Pac" below and pour out a little liquor for Mr. Shakur:

Weekend Audio Vol. 7: The Game, Nate Dogg, M.O.P, Ya Boy... - June 15, 2008 By : Nima

Another week has passed, which means it's time for another Weekend Audio update on dubcnn! We have several goodies for ya'll this time around, including a new Game track off "YouKnowWhatItIs Vol. 5", a Nate Dogg collaboration with Bozak Black Sox, a new solo joint by Billy Danze of M.O.P. and more.
Let's jump right into it with a The Game and his new artist X.O., who is none other than the artist formerly known as Scipio. He dissapeared for a minute and is now returning as a part of the CMC (Cali Murda Crew) on Black Wall Street under the name X.O..
To get a first taste of what you can expect, check out "I Dare You", a new collaboration between Game and X.O., off the upcoming "YouKnowWhatItIs Vol. 5" mixtape coming soon:
The Game - I Dare You (ft. X.O.)
Next up is a track by the Bozak Black Sox aka Bozak Trybe, a West Coast ensemble consisting of Doe-Boy, Rhyme Slik, & Coolie High. They hooked up with Nate Dogg for their new single "Life", produced by Lab Ratz. No word on whether this was recorded prior to Nate's stroke or not. What I do know is that this is a certified banger and not to be slept on - Nate at his finest! It's off the new mixtape "Get Da Bozak Vol. 1", check it out:
Bozak Black Sox - Life (ft. Nate Dogg) (Prod. by Lab Ratz)
Let's get to Tha Crow, the Loud.com $100,000 contest winner from Los Angeles, who beat out 9 finalists and over 20,000 tracks submitted. He got his check handed to him live on Power 106 this past week, and with his new record deal on SRC/Universal Records, he's eager to start pumping music out there. He's got a street single out there called "Dippin' Low Lows" which we have available for you to check out:
Tha Crow - Dippin' Low Lows
We have a new joint by Billy Danze of M.O.P. called "Savages" that's fire. The high energy production uses the same sample as the Madlib produced Talib Kweli track "The Show". This keeps us hoping for a new M.O.P. album or solo projects from Lil Fame and Billy Danze. The duo also recently appeared on "Freestyle 101" over at g4tv.com to drop a few verses, check that out by clicking here.
Billy Danze - Savages
Next we have a new track by Bay Area rapper Ya Boy. It's called "Wide Open" and is off the "Black Wall Street Radio Pt. 4" mixtape by DJ Haze and Nu Jerzey Devil. However, the version on the mixed was not mixed and mastered yet, and the producer of the track Infra Red just sent over the final mix of "Wide Open", which you can download below. Ya Boy's latest mixtape "I'm Bout To Murdah This Sh-t" with Digital Product also got reviewed in the latest Source magazine issue with Game on the cover, check that out here.
Ya Boy - Wide Open (Prod. by Infra Red)
Last, but not least is something for all the smooth jazz lovers. I'm talking about an instrumental track off jazz musician Norman Brown's latest album "Stay With Me". The track is a collaboration with Seattle producers Dow Jones and J-Hen aka Tha Bizness. They produced the track, while Norman Brown plays the guitar on it. If you're looking for some relaxing sounds to chill to, it doesn't get any better than this:
Norman Brown - Dr. Feel Good (Prod. by Tha Bizness)
Before we go the dubcnn staff would like to say Happy Birthday to O'Shea Jackson aka Ice Cube, who turned 39 today!Discuss This Topic
